Workwize deploys, manages, and retrieves IT equipment for distributed teams in 100+ countries. Behind every laptop that lands on someone's desk is a global product catalogue, a network of hardware suppliers and distributors, and an order flow that has to be confirmed, tracked, and fixed when it breaks.

We are looking for Operations Interns to join the Catalog and Supplier team for 5 to 6 months. This is a learning role, but not a shadowing one. Our interns own real workflows from the ground up, use data and AI tooling to work out what is actually going on, and are trusted to change how things run when they can show it works better.

We hire for analytical ability and ownership. We will teach you the operations.

What you will own

You will start close to the work and take ownership quickly. Within your first weeks you will run one of our core workflows end to end, for example:

• Supplier order confirmations. Own the daily unconfirmed-orders queue: chase suppliers, resolve blockers (stock-outs, pricing mismatches, substitutions, delayed dispatch), and keep confirmations inside our 24 business hour SLA. You decide what gets escalated and when.
• Catalogue data quality. Own a slice of the global catalogue in our PIM: keep specs, pricing, availability, and end-of-life status accurate across suppliers and regions, and find the errors before clients do.
• Supplier performance. Own the scorecard for a set of suppliers: pull the data, build the view, and bring the findings to the supplier review.

From there you will:

• Measure it. Build and maintain the metrics behind your workflow: confirmation cycle time, SLA adherence, error and rework rates, backlog trends. Turn raw exports from Zendesk, our PIM, and supplier feeds into views the team acts on.
• Fix it. Identify where manual work, re-keying, and chasing are eating time, then design and ship the fix. This might be an n8n or Make automation, an LLM-based classifier for supplier emails, a cleaner data model, or simply a better process. You will present the before and after.
• Document it. Write the SOPs, playbooks, and checklists so the workflow runs without you and the next person inherits structure rather than tribal knowledge.
• Connect it. Coordinate across Ops, Finance, Customer Success, Product, and our external suppliers and distributors so that what you change lands cleanly for everyone downstream.

How you will grow

We build our operations team from the inside. Interns who show ownership and analytical depth move into Operations Analyst roles, take on larger domains and supplier portfolios, and from there lead cross-functional projects and process redesigns across the business. Several of the people you will work with started exactly where you are starting.

You will have a named mentor, structured learning goals for the internship, and regular reviews focused on what you have owned, what you have measured, and what you have changed.

Who we are looking for

Education and experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Econometrics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field
• A previous internship, project, or role where you worked with real operational or commercial data is a strong plus
• Interest in B2B hardware, IT procurement, or marketplace operations is a bonus, not a requirement

Analytical and technical skills

• Strong with data: you can take a messy export, clean it, join it, and turn it into an answer. Confident in Excel or Google Sheets; SQL or Python is a strong plus
• Hands-on with AI and automation: you have used LLMs and low-code tools (n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar) to build something that worked, in coursework, projects, or a previous role, and you can explain and modify every part of it
• Comfortable in the tools operations run on: Notion, Slack, ticketing systems such as Zendesk
• Familiarity with catalogue, PIM, or ERP systems is a plus
