Key Responsibilities

1. Ocean Freight Operations Support 

• Handle assigned import or export shipments from end-to-end under supervision. 

• Manage booking arrangements with carriers and related parties. 

• Monitor shipment status and ensure timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders. 

• Maintain schedule control and proactively identify potential service disruptions. 

• Update operational data accurately in internal systems. 

• Coordinate with overseas offices, carriers, trucking vendors, customs brokers, customers, and other internal departments to ensure smooth shipment execution. 

• Support customer relationship management activities and respond to basic customer inquiries. 

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and operational procedures. 

2. Vendor Development & Procurement Support 

• Research and identify potential Customs Brokerage and Trucking vendors in Vietnam. 

• Participate in vendor evaluation and onboarding processes. 

• Maintain vendor databases and related documentation. 

• Assist in collecting and comparing service offerings, rates, and operational capabilities from vendors. 

• Support the implementation and activation of newly approved vendors. 

3. Carrier Development & Credit Support 

• Research new carriers and service options for specific trade lanes. 

• Assist with carrier onboarding and system setup processes. 

• Support carrier credit renewal and credit-line extension applications. 

• Maintain carrier records and contract documentation. 

4. Process Improvement & Data Management 

• Assist in documenting and updating SOPs, working instructions, and operational guidelines. 

• Support projects aimed at improving productivity and operational efficiency. 

• Prepare reports, maintain data records, and support performance analysis activities. 

• Participate in ad-hoc projects assigned by management. 

5. Administrative Support 

• Handle administrative tasks assigned by the Branch Manager or Ocean Freight Management Team. 

• Support document filing, record management, meeting coordination, and internal communications. 

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Final-year university student or fresh graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Import-Export, Transportation, Economics, or related fields. 

Knowledge & Skills 

• Strong interest in international freight forwarding and logistics operations. 

• Good communication and coordination skills. 

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational capability. 

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under deadlines. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint. 

• Good command of English, both written and spoken. 

• Fast learner with a proactive and positive working attitude. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Previous internship or academic project experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping lines, customs brokerage, or supply chain operations is an advantage. 

• Basic understanding of ocean freight import/export processes is preferred.
