Based in Sydney, reporting directly to the Director of News.
What you'll do:

- Monitor trusted news sources, breaking news and social media through the night, flagging and chasing stories as they develop
- Write and produce news segments for broadcast
- Work closely with producers and presenters to shape the running order as the show goes to air
- Ensure all content meets editorial standards, accuracy and legal requirements
- Respond calmly and quickly when major stories break overnight

- Ability to work unsupervised, make fast decisions and stay composed on deadline
- Willingness to work overnight shifts, including public holidays and occasional weekends
- A genuine passion for news and live television
