National Accounts Project Manager

Position Summary

The National Accounts Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple national account projects from award through project completion. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between customers, general contractors, internal teams, manufacturing facilities, engineers, and business partners to ensure projects are executed successfully, on schedule, and within scope.

The ideal candidate brings strong curtain wall and glazing industry experience, exceptional communication skills, technical project expertise, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects from award through completion, ensuring successful execution across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Manage a variety of project types including:
  • Storefront systems
  • Curtain wall systems
  • Operable windows
  • Doors
  • Skylights
  • Structural glass
  • Interior glass systems
• Coordinate closely with customers, architects, general contractors, engineers, internal departments, manufacturing plants, and external stakeholders.
• Maintain seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring customer expectations, project requirements, and business objectives remain aligned.
• Verify project scope is consistent with quotations, specifications, engineering requirements, and customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and delivery timelines.
• Track project milestones and ensure deliverables are completed according to schedule.
• Maintain organized and comprehensive project documentation throughout the life of the project.
• Review architectural drawings, structural drawings, and project specifications to accurately define project scope.
• Support project execution by identifying and resolving technical, operational, and customer-related issues.
• Coordinate activities across multiple manufacturing facilities when projects involve products from more than one location.
• Assist with glass take-offs, stock length calculations, and cut list development as required.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all project activities adhere to company quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Proactively identify project risks and develop solutions to minimize project delays and disruptions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, architects, and business partners.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 7 years of project management experience within the curtain wall, glazing, or architectural glass industry.
• Strong understanding of glazing systems, fabrication processes, and field installation practices.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to coordinate projects involving multiple products and manufacturing facilities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Word
  • ERP systems
  • Standard project management software tools
• Experience reading and interpreting:
  • Architectural drawings
  • Structural drawings
  • Construction documents
  • Project specifications
• Ability to prepare and review technical project documentation.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field.
• Experience supporting national account customers.
• Previous experience managing projects involving:

  • Storefront systems
  • Window wall products
  • Operable windows
  • Doors
  • Structural glass
  • Interior glass systems
• Experience supporting large commercial construction projects.
