Position Overview
We are seeking a highly passionate, hands-on SAP BASIS Manager to lead our regional ERP technical landscape and inspire a team of technical professionals. This role goes beyond traditional system maintenance; you will be the technical anchor for our SAP ar-chitecture, driving modernization, performance excellence, and complex technical pro-jects. Your Responsibilities
•    Technical Leadership & Delivery: Lead end-to-end technical delivery for critical SAP initiatives, including system updates, migrations, and cloud architecture transformations.
•    Operations & Performance Excellence: Manage SAP systems and infrastruc-ture to exceed SLA expectations, ensuring continuous availability, capacity plan-ning, and zero system-side incidents.
•    Hands-On Troubleshooting: Act as the ultimate technical escalation point, div-ing deep into performance tuning, database optimization, and end-to-end root cause analysis.
•    Team Empowerment & Culture: Lead, mentor, and re-energize the BASIS team by cultivating a strong engineering culture, technical curiosity, and high employee engagement.
•    Innovation & Automation: Partner with cross-functional teams to champion digi-tal transformation projects, IT compliance automation, and enterprise AI use cas-es.
•    Security & Compliance: Drive IT General Controls (ITGC) compliance, ensure adherence to local cybersecurity laws, and maintain robust Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness.
•    Cost Management: Effectively manage the team budget and optimize resource costs within the approved annual plan.

Your Background & Qualifications
•    Professional Experience: Approximately 10 years of progressive SAP BASIS experience, seamlessly bridging hands-on technical expertise with team leader-ship.
•    Modern SAP Technologies: Deep, hands-on proficiency in SAP HANA data-base administration, performance tuning, and complex troubleshooting is essential.
•    Landscape Mastery: Solid operational experience with IBM DB2, SAP ECC, GRC, EP, BW/BO landscapes, and MaxDB.
•    Infrastructure & Cloud: Strong practical knowledge of enterprise OS (Windows Server, Linux, Pacemaker HA) and modern cloud architectures, preferably MS Azure.
•    Leadership Style: A proven "player-coach" who takes strong ownership of deliv-erables, system stability, and team growth.
•    Mindset & Soft Skills: Highly passionate about exploring new technologies, pos-sessing strategic/structural thinking, and demonstrating excellent presentation skills to bridge technical and business contexts.
•    Education & Language: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, combined with fluent English communication skills.
