About TEGNA
TEGNA Inc. helps people thrive in their local communities by providing the trusted local news and services that matter most. With 64 television stations in 51 U.S. markets, TEGNA reaches more than 100 million people monthly across the web, mobile apps, streaming, and linear television. Together, we are building a sustainable future for local news.
TEGNA, the parent company of 64 television stations in 51 U.S. markets, is hiring a veteran, well-sourced Consumer & Money Reporter who can break news, help people save money, and keep people safe. This reporter should be equally comfortable writing fast, accurate online articles, creating compelling vertical videos, using their phone as their main camera, video editing, and talking conversationally about their reporting during live hits with an anchor.
The ideal candidate is data-driven and passionate about providing practical solutions for everyday Americans navigating the rising cost of living.
This reporter helps audiences protect their wallets, understand the forces driving daily costs, and navigate a confusing consumer landscape. You’ll become a trusted voice who can break news, simplify complicated issues, and show people what’s changing—and what they can do about it.
This is a highly collaborative position working with national content, product, and growth teams, as well as local reporters and producers. One day you may be leading a national consumer story and the next you may be working with local reporters and producers on consumer breaking news.
The preferred work location is Denver, but candidates in any TEGNA market will be considered. This is a hybrid role.
