Mobile Technician (Electrical)

Salary: £40,000 to £46,000 per annum (dependent upon experience), plus company van and Veolia benefits

Hours: 43 hours per week. 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Location: Mobile role covering Wigan, Preston and Manchester

What you'll be doing;

• Operate and maintain industrial utilities: steam boilers, air compressors, cooling towers and water treatment plants
• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical and mechanical systems, including PSSR and WSE inspection compliance and LV/ELV systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical, control and instrumentation faults
• Support project work, including minor electrical and mechanical installations
• Maintain plant quality records and reports
• Implement Safe Systems of Work (Permits to Work, Risk Assessments, Method Statements)
• Cover the On-Call rota for out-of-hours alarms from mobile sites

What we're looking for;

Essential:

• A proven engineering background within the Electrical and Mechanical industry with a recognised Time Served apprenticeship.
• Proactive approach to tasks and a willingness to learn.
• Experience with Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and maintenance. (110v, 240v and 415v). 
• Full clean driving licence.

Desirable:

• Experience of multi-skilled work to support both Electrical and Mechanical tasks 
• Knowledge of SCADA (BMS / PMS) and PLC systems
• Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant
