We’re looking for a highly organized, detail‑driven Mine Operations Shift Clerk to join our Base Plant team in Fort McMurray. If you excel in fast‑paced environments, enjoy problem‑solving, and take pride in keeping operations running smoothly and fairly, this role is for you.

As a Mine Operations Shift Clerk, you’ll be at the center of workforce coordination. You’ll support leaders, employees, and senior management by ensuring schedules, data, and processes are accurate, compliant, and consistently maintained. Your work directly supports safe, efficient, and well‑organized mine operations.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of administrative or operations support experience; mining or maintenance experience preferred
• Advanced administrative and computer skills (Word, Excel, databases, graphics software)
• Knowledge of budgeting, HR processes, basic data analysis, and general business functions (asset)
• Strong understanding of organizational policies and procedures
• Well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to locate, compile, and prepare specialized reports following defined procedures
• Strong systems experience, including:
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • SharePoint
  • Power BI / Power Query
  • SAP
  • Workday or similar timekeeping/payroll systems
• Exceptional organization, multitasking, and decision‑making abilities
• High initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate data entry, auditing, and reporting for daily workforce schedules (vacation planning, shift coverage, workforce movement)
• Administer overtime callouts and modified work programs in alignment with site processes
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements
• Serve as a central communication point between employees, team leads, and cross‑functional partners
• Maintain reliable data and reporting to support fair and consistent workforce decisions
• Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations; organize and schedule work activities
• Manage deviations and interpret information using sound judgment and experience
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects

Location & Schedule

• You will work at our Base Mine location in Fort McMurray, Alberta
• Shift rotation: 6 days on / 6 days off (3 days, 3 nights), 12‑hour shifts
