We are looking for a Mid-Level System Integration Architect to join our team and design and deliver robust, secure and scalable integration solutions across enterprise applications, platforms and services.

The role combines solid technical depth in system integration, APIs and middleware with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. You will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure and business teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define integration architectures connecting enterprise applications, systems and services
• Develop integration solutions leveraging APIs, middleware, messaging and event-driven architectures
• Evaluate and apply appropriate integration patterns and technologies, including REST, SOAP, ETL and asynchronous messaging
• Produce technical architecture documentation, interface specifications and integration design diagrams
• Translate business requirements into practical technical designs
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams throughout implementation, testing, deployment and troubleshooting
• Ensure integration solutions meet security, performance, scalability, reliability and availability requirements
• Contribute to architecture reviews and technical decisions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of integration practices and standards

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in system integration, solution design or software architecture
• Hands-on experience with integration technologies and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, Apache Kafka or equivalent solutions
• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, messaging protocols, data transformation and integration patterns
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP), microservices and distributed architectures
• Good knowledge of integration security concepts, including OAuth 2.0, authentication, authorisation and secure data exchange
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical designs
• Experience producing architecture documentation and interface specifications
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently within established architecture guidelines

Nice to Have

• Experience with API Management platforms, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) or iPaaS solutions
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, containers and DevOps environments
• Experience with enterprise integration projects in complex IT environments
• Knowledge of architecture methodologies and documentation standards
• Relevant cloud or integration platform certifications
