The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Metrology Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Performing scheduled calibrations, verifications, inspections, and basic maintenance of measuring and test equipment used in manufacturing and quality laboratories
- Maintaining accurate equipment records, calibration certificates, labels, status, and due dates in the applicable metrology and Quality System records
- Coordinating equipment availability with production, laboratories, and external calibration service providers to support on-time completion of the calibration schedule
- Assessing calibration results, documenting out-of-tolerance conditions, and promptly escalating potential product or compliance impact to the Metrology Engineer and Quality team
- Supporting troubleshooting, selection, qualification, and continuous improvement of measurement systems while following site procedures, safety requirements, and applicable quality standards
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Technical secondary education, post-secondary technical qualification, or higher education in metrology, mechanics, electronics, automation, mechatronics, quality, or a related technical discipline
- Hands-on experience with measuring and test equipment, calibration, inspection, maintenance, laboratory testing, or a comparable technical role
- Ability to read technical documentation and follow written procedures with strong attention to accuracy and data integrity
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Working knowledge of common dimensional, pressure, temperature, mass, force, electrical, or process-measurement equipment
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn electronic equipment-management and Quality System applications
- Polish language fluency and the ability to communicate in English at a level sufficient to understand technical documentation and work with suppliers
- Ability to organize work independently, meet calibration deadlines, and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, and quality teams
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, automotive, food, or another ISO-based quality system
- Knowledge of calibration traceability, measurement uncertainty, MSA, gauge R&R, and handling of out-of-tolerance equipment
- Experience working with external calibration laboratories and reviewing calibration certificates
- Experience with SAP, calibration-management software, or electronic Quality Management Systems
- Skills including analytical thinking, precision, ownership, planning, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Work location: Onsite, Solventum manufacturing site in Wrocław, Poland.
Travel: Occasional domestic travel may be required for training, service-provider visits, or equipment support.
