Are you interested in helping design and improve the systems that keep manufacturing facilities running efficiently? At Foth, our co-op program immerses you in real-world engineering challenges from day one. As a Process Engineering Co-op, you'll apply your classroom knowledge while supporting process and utility engineering projects for a variety of industrial clients. Based in Green Bay, WI, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects involving piping systems, process equipment, utilities infrastructure, and facility improvements. Spanning Summer-Fall 2027, this opportunity provides hands-on experience with engineering analysis, design, and project execution and may include travel to client sites, offering firsthand exposure to how engineering solutions are implemented in operating facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with field data gathering under the direction of a process engineer
Create and maintain clear and accurate design documents (P&IDs, equipment plans, piping drawings, photo drawings)
Assist with CADD in the preparation of drawings for process and utility system related projects
Understand, interpret, and develop design and construction specifications
Perform standard process system calculations (pump sizing, material and energy balance, fluid flow analysis, valve and instrument sizing)
Develop equipment lists
Required Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
GPA of 3.0 or greater
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with and/or coursework involving P&IDs
Previous experience with and/or coursework involving standard process calculations (pump sizing, valve and instrument sizing, fluid flow analysis)
Previous experience with equipment specification and procurement support (obtaining quotes, vendor contact/follow-up)
