Major Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Lead continuous improvement of mechanical assets to optimise process performance and equipment reliability while reducing overall cost, by driving MOC processes, HAZOP reviews, efficiency projects, and other technical initiatives as plant technical owner.
2. Develop and maintain evergreen mechanical asset strategies to prevent major equipment incidents and production losses, by systematically assessing asset risk, defining preventive and predictive maintenance approaches, and aligning with global best practices.
3. Eliminate recurring equipment failures by executing countermeasures derived from Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), Failure Analyses (FAs), and bad actor programs, in accordance with site procedures and within agreed timelines.
4. Manage CAPEX and improvement projects (size S and M) to deliver technical, cost, and compliance objectives, by collaborating with the site engineering department and ensuring accurate as-built documentation and proper archiving upon project completion.
5. Ensure mechanical asset data integrity by maintaining the master list and foundation data in SAP for all assets within the area of responsibility, keeping records complete and up to date at all times to support informed maintenance and investment decisions.
6. Provide technical expertise to the maintenance management team to minimise production loss impact and accelerate resolution of critical equipment failures, acting as the primary technical reference for complex mechanical issues.
7. Maintain site regulatory compliance for mechanical facilities by monitoring applicable local regulations and laws, participating in relevant internal and external audits and inspections, and implementing required corrective actions to safeguard the operating license.
8. Identify and implement mechanical best practices by collaborating with Technical Competence & Innovation (TCI), global experts, and peer sites to continuously improve the local asset strategy and capture cross-site learnings.

Qualification:
• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and/or asset management in the petrochemical or chemical industry, with demonstrated exposure to reliability engineering, RCA methodologies, and CAPEX project execution.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module for asset data management; familiarity with reliability tools (FMEA, RCA, bad actor analysis); working knowledge of MOC and HAZOP processes.
• Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; self-motivated with excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively under time pressure.
• Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
