JOB PURPOSE
To lead the development and execution of a cohesive regional marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, donor acquisition, and fundraising growth across World Vision’s operations in the India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka. The role provides strategic marketing direction and coaching to country-level teams, ensuring that each office benefits from regional expertise while delivering campaigns that resonate with local donor audiences
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and own the Regional Marketing Strategy, aligned to each country’s Resource Development plans and WVI global brand standards.
- Lead annual marketing planning and budgeting processes in collaboration with all three national offices.
- Track and analyse macro trends in digital philanthropy, donor behaviour, and NGO marketing across the 4 offices.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic recommendations to national office leadership on marketing investment priorities.
Fundraising Campaign Development
- Guide local office teams to design campaign frameworks and creative strategies for Child Sponsorship acquisition, Individual Philanthropy, and CSR in the 3 offices.
- Review, advise on, and quality-assure major fundraising campaigns prior to launch in all three offices.
- Facilitate cross-country campaign learning reviews and feed insights back into planning cycles
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Define and continuously improve the regional digital marketing strategy across social media, email, SEM, paid acquisition, and website.
- Establish a regional digital analytics framework; produce monthly and quarterly performance dashboards for all three offices.
- Guide country teams in A/B testing, audience segmentation, and data-driven campaign optimisation.
- Evaluate and recommend marketing technology tools (CRM integrations, automation, analytics) to improve efficiency and results.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Coach and mentor country-level marketing, communications, and donor acquisition staff.
- Design and deliver marketing capability-building workshops and training programmes for all three offices.
- Establish communities of practice across the three offices to share learnings, test ideas, and reduce duplication.
- Conduct regular marketing audits of country-level activities and provide structured feedback.
Stakeholder Management, Governance & Reporting
- Manage the Regional Marketing Steering Group (Monthly), coordinating agendas, reporting, and follow-through on decisions.
- Build productive working relationships with National Directors, Resource Development leads, and Communications leads in all three offices.
- Manage regional relationships with creative agencies, media partners, and digital vendors.
- Represent the region in WVI global marketing and communications forums as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualification in business, marketing, or international development is advantageous.
- Minimum 8-10 years of professional marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or regional role.
- Proven track record of leading marketing strategies that have driven measurable growth in marketing campaigns, brand awareness, or fundraising revenue.
- Demonstrated experience managing and influencing multi-country or geographically distributed teams.
- Hands-on experience with digital marketing channels: social media advertising, SEM/SEO, email marketing, paid digital acquisition.
- Experience developing brand campaigns from strategy through execution.
- Demonstrable experience with marketing analytics and performance reporting
- English required. Proficiency in a local language of the base country is advantageous.
- Approximately 30-40% regional travel across India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka. Ability to work effectively across cultures, time zones, and a matrix structure without direct authority over country teams.
