About you and this role
Dow Personal Care, part of Dow Consumer Solutions, partners across the Beauty & Personal Care value chain to develop innovative, sustainable, and high-performing solutions for leading personal care brands worldwide.
We are seeking a Marketing Manager, Personal Care EMEA to join our team. The preferred location is Seneffe, Belgium; Antwerp, Belgium and Milan, Italy may also be considered.
In this strategic regional role, you will lead the development and execution of growth strategies across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Working closely with Sales, Technical Service & Development (TS&D), R&D, Product Management, and Business Communications, you will identify growth opportunities, accelerate commercialization of innovations, strengthen customer engagement, and drive profitable business growth.
The successful candidate combines strong business acumen, market insight, and customer focus with the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a complex global organization. You are energized by translating market trends, customer needs, innovation, and sustainability into commercial success.
Responsibilities
- Lead Market Management Teams (MMTs) to define and execute segment growth strategies and optimize the 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion).
- Develop and implement one-to-three-year marketing plans, growth roadmaps, and value propositions aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with TS&D, R&D, Product Management, and Sales to assess, prioritize, and commercialize innovation opportunities.
- Conduct market assessments, competitive intelligence, customer segmentation, and value chain analyses to identify growth opportunities and support portfolio decisions.
- Build strong relationships with customers, channel partners, and industry stakeholders to strengthen market position and customer intimacy.
- Lead commercialization activities, including product launches, customer value propositions, market introduction plans, and sales enablement.
- Integrate sustainability trends, regulatory developments, and digital customer engagement initiatives into growth strategies and marketing execution.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing, product management, business development, commercial leadership, or related roles, with a proven track record of developing and executing growth strategies in B2B markets.
- Experience in Personal Care ingredients, specialty chemicals, or adjacent innovation-driven B2B markets is strongly preferred, including responsibility for market strategy, portfolio management, innovation commercialization, or business development.
- Strong understanding of commercialization, innovation management, product launches, portfolio strategy, and translating customer and market insights into successful business outcomes.
- Experience engaging customers at both strategic and technical levels and building strong relationships across the value chain.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions, regions, and organizational levels within a matrix organization.
- Knowledge of sustainability trends and regulatory developments impacting the Personal Care industry is an advantage.
