As a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting digital manufacturing initiatives through automation, data analytics, and continuous improvement projects. You will work closely with Manufacturing, AMO, DT, Engineering, and other business functions to implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, quality, and productivity.
As a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting data-driven decision-making through data acquisition systems, controls platforms, and manufacturing technologies, including LabVIEW, PLCs, and related systems.
- Developing and implementing automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, safety, and operational effectiveness.
- Assisting with the deployment and ongoing support of advanced automation technologies, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), automated production systems, and other digital manufacturing solutions.
- Developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using Python, Visual Basic, SAP scripting, and related technologies.
- Creating dashboards, reports, visualizations, and data analysis solutions utilizing Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and similar platforms.
- Collaborating with Manufacturing, AMO, Digital Technology, Engineering, and internal stakeholders to understand operational challenges and support business-focused solutions.
- Communicating technical concepts and project updates effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participating in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
- Supporting the evaluation, testing, and implementation of emerging manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing, robotics, automated data collection, laser hardfacing, and induction heating solutions.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and supporting implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Contributing to digital innovation efforts and modernization of manufacturing processes and systems.
- Supporting project execution activities, including planning, implementation, documentation, and performance tracking.
- Working within cross-functional teams to deliver manufacturing technology and process improvement projects.
- Ensuring compliance with company quality, safety, environmental, and operational standards throughout all assigned activities.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Alternatively, have a High School Diploma/GED with relevant manufacturing experience.
- Have experience supporting manufacturing operations, automation systems, digital technologies, or process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions.
- Have experience with data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools.
- Possess strong organizational, project coordination, and multitasking abilities.
- Be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Show initiative and a continuous improvement mindset with a passion for manufacturing technology and innovation.
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions and influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Experience supporting projects of moderate scope and complexity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established timelines and objectives.
- Effective problem-solving and solution development skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Experience with automation technologies, robotics, digital manufacturing tools, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience with manufacturing data systems, visualization tools, and automation platforms is preferred.
