About the Role

In this role, you will manage and support HARMAN's global foreign exchange risk management activities within the Corporate Treasury organization. You will oversee the end-to-end currency risk management process, including exposure identification, hedge strategy development and execution, derivative valuation oversight, and hedge accounting support. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and business units, you will help protect the company from financial market risks while supporting strategic business objectives. In addition, you will contribute to treasury transformation initiatives by leveraging data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making across HARMAN's global treasury operations.

What You Will Do

• Partner with Automotive, Lifestyle, and other business unit finance teams to identify, quantify, and monitor foreign exchange risks across global operations, commercial bids, and long-term business forecasts.
• Perform financial modeling, scenario analysis, and risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of currency movements and recommend effective risk mitigation strategies, including contractual protections, pricing adjustments, natural hedging techniques, and derivative solutions.
• Collaborate with business units to gather and validate multi-currency forecasts and underlying exposure data, utilizing ERP, consolidation, procurement, and business intelligence systems to ensure accurate risk identification and measurement.
• Continuously assess existing and emerging foreign exchange exposures and recommend strategies to reduce earnings and cash flow volatility while supporting business objectives.
• Develop, execute, and manage foreign exchange hedging programs, including hedge strategy design, derivative instrument selection, trade execution, and ongoing portfolio management.
• Evaluate and recommend long-term hedging strategies for both developed and emerging market exposures, balancing financial risk reduction, hedge effectiveness, accounting impacts, and cost considerations.
• Monitor global financial markets, economic developments, and foreign exchange trends to provide insights and recommendations to Treasury leadership and key stakeholders.
• Analyze and report on the financial impact of foreign exchange exposures and hedging activities, including the preparation of management reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Partner with accounting, finance, consolidation, and external service providers to ensure accurate valuation, accounting, reporting, and documentation of derivative transactions and hedging activities.
• Maintain compliance with treasury policies, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and hedge accounting standards by ensuring timely and accurate documentation and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in treasury processes through automation, data analytics, treasury technology solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on foreign exchange risk management by providing guidance, training, and support to finance, accounting, procurement, and business teams across the organization.
• Support Treasury leadership on strategic initiatives and special projects related to liquidity management, cash forecasting, working capital optimization, financial risk management, and treasury transformation initiatives.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor's degree, relevant accreditation, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive treasury experience, including significant experience in corporate foreign exchange, interest rate or commodity risk management within a global, multinational organization.
• Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets, financial risk management, derivative instruments, and treasury best practices.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards related to foreign exchange hedging and derivative accounting.
• Experience working closely with Corporate Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Tax, and business unit finance teams to support financial planning, risk management, and business decision-making.
• Strong financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with foreign exchange trading platforms, treasury management systems, and foreign exchange exposure management tools.
• Experience utilizing ERP, consolidation, and financial reporting systems to analyze exposures, validate forecasts, and support treasury reporting and decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex financial exposures, develop risk mitigation strategies, and communicate recommendations to senior management.
• Experience preparing management reporting, dashboards, and analytical presentations that translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced global environment.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve forecasting, reporting, workflow efficiency, and decision-making.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions, regions, and cultures.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Automotive and/or consumer electronics industry experience.
• Experience with data analytics, business intelligence, and automation tools, including SQL, Python, Power BI, Qlik Sense, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing or improving AI-enabled reporting workflows, prompt libraries, data-quality checks, or governance controls.
• Relevant certifications or training, such as CFA, CTP, data analytics, or AI governance.
