The role:

We are looking for an experienced insurance sales manager to lead the SoFi Protect sales team. This person will oversee associate managers and a team of licensed agents delivering exceptional experiences for SoFi members. SoFi Protect is the in-house insurance agency helping SoFi members fulfill their protection needs across Home, Auto, and Life Insurance  Insurance.

We're seeking a highly organized and member-focused Personal Lines Insurance Manager to lead our dedicated team in driving sales while delivering exceptional service. If you thrive in a high-paced environment focused on SELLING and ADVISING customers this role is for you. You will be responsible for setting KPIs, sales cadence, workflows, and holding associate managers accountable to goals. You will be coaching the coaches, ensuring they are equipped with the information and skills to push the team forward on a day to day basis. You will set the standards for our team as they interact with members via email, chat, and phone to provide guidance and help them through coverage conversations. You will help drive the team to achieve core metrics across sales, customer engagement, and more. You will also be integral in partnering with cross-functional team members to iterate on core processes and functions to shape and define how insurance is sold at SoFi.

What you’ll do: 

• Provide leadership and coaching strategies for our associate managers
• Own the sales team KPIs and ensure the associate managers and agents are equipped with the resources to achieve the goals
• Manage capacity and hiring plans for the sales team
• Set the culture for the sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve agency goals for sales
• Coach and assist managers on best practices as they set goals for the individual agents
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to help further enhance the business.

What you’ll need:

• 10+ years of experience selling Property & Casualty Insurance 
• Proven experience managing a team 
• Has strengths in hiring, coaching, performance management, and team member development
• Effectively manages time and resources within team, department and cross functionally
• Must have valid state active licenses in Property & Casualty or Personal Lines insurance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to multitask and stay organized to meet deadlines on time 
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and flexible with the ability to take an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving
