About the Role
This Perth-based role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of capital projects that support Westgold's growth and operational success, with travel to site as required across our operations.
Reporting to the Group Manager Projects, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. Working across the full project lifecycle, from concept development and studies through to execution, commissioning and operational handover, you will collaborate closely with operational, technical and corporate stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
The Opportunity
Westgold is seeking an experienced Manager Projects to lead a portfolio of capital projects across our operations. You will provide leadership and oversight throughout all phases of project delivery, ensuring projects are executed safely and in line with budget, schedule, quality and governance requirements.
Working closely with site operations, technical services, contractors and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in supporting Westgold's strategic growth objectives while delivering sustainable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of capital projects from concept through to operational handover.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and contractor performance.
- Drive project governance, reporting and risk management processes.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technical Services, Maintenance, HSE and Commercial teams.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts and performance against key milestones.
- Champion a strong safety culture and provide visible leadership across project activities.
- Support business growth through the successful execution of strategic projects.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience delivering mining, infrastructure, processing plant, electrical or sustaining capital projects.
- Strong project management, planning, scheduling and cost control skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk and drive project outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership capability.
- Relevant trade, diploma or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
