Job Description:
Crown, a global Fortune 500 packaging manufacturer, has an immediate opening for a Manager, Pricing & Contracts, in the North American Food and Household (F&H). As a key member of the Food and Household Team, this individual will have a wide range of responsibilities including the following:
- Become fully immersed in the mechanics and administration of Pricing for example: pricing sheets, metal passthroughs, rebate calculations, contractual notification requirements, etc.
- Assist the Director of Contract and Pricing with the preparation of monthly/quarterly price change forms and maintenance of pricing database.
- Ad hoc projects on profitability of customer accounts, freight analysis, tariff implications and upcharge calculations.
- Assist in preparation of new/amended agreements assisting in preparation of bid sheets, contract writing and ensure compliance with RFP requirements
- Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and preparation of forecasts and budget. This includes accruals, schedules and analysis to support financial statements.
- Provide analysis of manufacturing standards and sales prices to conduct margin analysis and monitoring
- Provide analysis of manufacturing standard cost variances v. prior year, Budget, and Rolling Forecasts.
- Assist Manufacturing Accounting with understanding operational impacts of equipment changes and new product offerings
- Understand the development and structure of cost accounting practices to better align with profitability and pricing
- Assist in the preparation of budget and rolling forecast scenarios.
- Participate in plant budget reviews.
- Perform analyses to help bridge projections to actuals/prior scenarios.
Requirements:
. Requirements include the following:
- BA/BS degree in business, accounting or a related discipline. MBA is a plus
- Prior experience with packaging, pricing, accounting, finance etc. a plus
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to effectively compose, write, edit and proofread business correspondence, contracts, proposals and management reports
- Complete understanding of the Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access). Advanced skills in Excel (Pivot tables, Lookup functions, Macros, etc.) preferred.
- Knowledge of CRM is a plus
- Ability to effectively use analytical or theoretical approaches to problem solving
- Well organized and detail oriented with outstanding time management skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills as well as proven presentation skills
- Self-motivated and eager to take the initiative; with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and as an individual
