We are seeking an experienced process and operations leader to support Payroll systems initiatives and production excellence. This role serves as the bridge between Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR Technology, and stakeholders for the US and Canada.

The Manager, Payroll Systems Solutions & Process Excellence is the production-focused partner responsible for business analysis, process improvement, documentation governance, operational controls, project coordination, and knowledge management. This position also provides backup support for testing coordination and solution validation when needed.

What you'll do in the role:

·        Serve as the primary production matters lead for payroll systems-related operational issues, process impacts, and business readiness activities.

·        Lead discovery sessions, business requirements gathering, process analysis, business case development, and operational solution design.

·        Create and maintain business requirements documents, functional specifications, SOPs, process maps, workflow diagrams, control narratives, training materials, and user documentation.

·        Own Payroll Systems documentation and maintain a knowledge repository so process, testing, project, control, and training documentation remains current, accessible, and audit-ready.

·        Lead project coordination activities including action item tracking, RAID logs, decision logs, status reporting, and implementation readiness.

·        Triage payroll production issues, document business impacts, coordinate stakeholders, and support operational root-cause analysis and remediation planning.

·        Lead process redesign and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, sustainability, control effectiveness, and employee or stakeholder experience.

·        Coordinate UAT activities, maintain test scripts and evidence, obtain business signoffs.

·        Act as backup to the Director, Payroll Systems Solutions & Testing during major implementations, system release activities, and solution validation reviews.

What you'll bring to the role:

·        2-4 years of experience developing, supporting, and scaling Payroll systems such as: ADP platforms: GlobalView, eTime, Workforce Manager, and accompanying integrations. Workday HCM is a plus.

·        5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, Operations, or related systems-enabled functions.

·        Experience developing business requirements, process maps, SOPs, workflows, functional specifications, and/or governance documentation.

·        Experience supporting payroll production matters, operational issue management, process redesign, and stakeholder coordination.

·        Experience coordinating UAT, test scripts, testing evidence, business signoff, and change readiness activities.

·        Exposure to applying concepts and principles surrounding predictive analytics, AI, and automation tools (e.g., RPA)

·        Strong written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

·        Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with Jira or comparable tools a plus.

·        Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree in lieu of experience
