Role Summary

The Manager, Oncology Operations partners with the Oncology Business Operations Lead to deliver on commitments and support day-to-day business operations. This role manages multiple priorities, facilitates decision-making processes, and ensures effective information flow to meet deadlines and obligations. The Manager contributes to key Oncology initiatives and communications, providing consultancy and operational support. They execute end-to-end management of select projects related to Oncology Business Operations responsibilities and activities.

Role Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & business management

• Partner with the Oncology Business Operations Lead to support organizational priorities, annual planning, portfolio reviews, business reviews, and leadership team objectives.
• Oversee operational processes, including budget planning, purchase orders, resource tracking, compliance activities, and organizational management systems.
• Build and maintain dashboards, trackers, repositories, templates, and knowledge management processes that support organizational effectiveness and informed decision-making.
• Identify and implement process improvements, digital solutions, and AI-enabled automation opportunities that enhance productivity, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.

Culture, Engagement & Colleague Experience

• Drive initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, onboarding, leadership visibility, and the overall colleague experience, including town halls, all-hands meetings, offsites, and other organizational events.
• Design and execute communication strategies and leadership messaging that drive transparency, engagement, and alignment across the Oncology organization.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Executive support

• Develop executive agendas, briefing materials, presentations, communications, and action-tracking processes that enable effective decision-making and leadership alignment.
• Partner with site leaders, administrative professionals, and cross-functional teams to advance strategic priorities and co-lead high-impact operational initiatives.
• Drive initiatives that strengthen collaboration, communication, and effectiveness across leadership teams and key stakeholder groups

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or 6+ years of experience in lieu of degree required

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry – familiarity with R&D preferred
• Experienced in managing day-to-day planning, project management and operational activities
• Experienced in creating communications and interactions with senior executive stakeholders
• Experienced in managing multiple, competing tasks simultaneously; executing complex strategies
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, across multiple lines; ability to manage a cross functional team of colleagues
• Demonstrated understanding of systems, structures, and implementing efficient processes

• Work Location Assignment: Hybrid  ( This is a hybrid role requiring you to live within commuting distance and work on-site an average of 2.5 days per week or more as needed.)

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,600.00 to $156,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
