The Manager of Application Specialists Middle East (x|f|m) is responsible for developing and leading the local Application Specialist team to provide world-class technical expertise that supports business growth, customer success, and commercial excellence. The role ensures the team delivers high-quality application support, strengthens customer relationships, and enables the sales organization to achieve its strategic objectives while positioning the company as a trusted solution provider.

• Use technical knowledge and process experience to support Sales and Application Specialists in evaluating customer opportunities, defining technical strategies, and maximizing business growth through successful trials/demo´s and solution implementation. 

• Establish and standardize trial/demo processes, ensuring high-quality technical execution and maximizing conversion from evaluation to commercial success. 

• Establish standardized customer installation/training SOP procedures that improve customer experience, technical adoption, and long-term satisfaction. 

• Develop and coach distributor application specialists across the Middle East to ensure consistent technical support and customer experience. 

• Allocate and prioritize Application Specialist resources across regions in close collaboration with Head of Sales to maximize business impact and align with commercial priorities. 

• Lead the resolution of complex customer technical issues and escalations and ensure timely and professional support. 

• Lead the development of application expertise for key product portfolios and promote the sharing of technical best practices, customer success stories, and application knowledge. 

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Business Units/Emerging Business Units to understand market trends, customer needs and application opportunities. 

• Support field marketing activities by providing technical expertise and evaluating the effectiveness of application-focused customer initiatives. 

• Support product positioning by providing customer insights and application expertise to Marketing and Business Units/Emerging Business Units. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, application experts, and KOL to strengthen the company's technical reputation and market presence 

• Develop individual training and competency plans to strengthen the technical, commercial, and communication capabilities of the Application Specialists. 

• Lead, coach, and develop the Application Specialist team while ensuring succession planning, resource optimization, and high employee engagement. 

 

 

What will convince us

• Master degree in biotechnology, biochemistry or similar life science disciplines 

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in life science industry with process development and manufacturing experience, 

• Minimum 3 years of team management experience 

• Proven skills of relevant process unit operations in cGMP bioprocessing 

• Good market knowledge and certain network in the biopharmaceutical industry 

• Strong leadership, coaching, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. 

• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage customer escalations and complex technical situations. 

• Proven ability to prioritize resources and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced commercial environment. 

• Drive a high-performance culture by coaching, mentoring, and developing the Application Specialist team while fostering collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus. 

• Good training and presentation skills 

• Proven software skills, e.g. Microsoft Office and CRM 

• Fluent in English and Arabic
