Job Description

The Manager Logistics Projects & Technology position reports directly to the Associate Director of Logistics Projects & Technology under the Logistics Excellence department. This role is responsible for end-to-end execution and project management of capital projects for KHC NA Logistics and will also manage budgets, explore and develop new projects and initiatives, and drive the future pipeline of new ideas and opportunities. It also leads innovation, technology, and automation, as well as serve as a subject matter expert for these areas. This role will require a good balance of project management, supply chain expertise, and technical knowledge, and interfaces with cross-functional partners, suppliers, and all NA warehouses across our BU’s and 3PL’s.



In brief, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead capital projects from concept through close out utilizing effective project management methodologies, organization, communication, and execution skills.
  • Develop project scope, budget, and drive capital approval process. Manage expectations with key stakeholders on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Execute projects, manage construction, and lead startup activities. Coordinate and have good communication with suppliers, contractors, and site personnel.
  • Lead and execute the automation and technology agenda through expert knowledge in technology, automation, new development, and digitization. Explore potential projects through concepting, savings stream identification, business case development, and funding approval.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in equipment, warehouse systems (WMS, LMS, YMS), and automation (AGVs, ASRS, ATLS, robotics, palletizing, conveyors, etc.)
  • Manage strategic vendor partnerships, conduct new technology searches, and lead initiatives to unlock new technical platforms and processes.
  • Develop a future roadmap and automation pipeline for long-term 5-year business planning.
  • Utilize brainstorming, data analysis, and productivity techniques to uncover site and equipment opportunities for cost improvement projects.
  • Partner with Logistics Operations, Ops POD leads, site managers, IT, and development resources to align priorities and drive execution.
  • Manage existing technology and automation, develop service and support programs, and drive improvements and optimization efforts.
  • Support the development of training, SOPs, safety, and programs to support ongoing operations excellence.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Supply Chain/Engineering/Technical preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, continuous improvement, project management.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, technology, digital, etc.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including roadmap development, prioritization, stakeholder coordination, and follow-through.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience working with performance metrics, KPI reporting, business performance analysis, and operational scorecards.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements that drive measurable operational or financial impact.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders across different functions and levels of the organization.
  • Travel averaging about 10%-30% depending on project.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $130,200.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
