Sobre este puesto de Manager, Engineering - Entity Graph Automation en Recorded Future
With 1,000+ intelligence professionals serving over 1,900 clients worldwide, Recorded Future is the world’s most advanced, and largest, intelligence company!
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the team that automates our Entity Graph. The Entity Graph is where the cyber-defence picture actually lives: the companies our customers care about, the software products they run, the vulnerabilities that affect them, and the relationships between all three. Your team builds the pipelines that keep that picture correct, complete and current — at machine speed, without a queue of people in the middle.
Our products are becoming agents that investigate, decide and act on behalf of the customer, and every one of them reads from this graph. Agents don't work around stale data the way people do — they act on it. That raises the bar sharply: coverage can no longer be capped by how much a team can review by hand, freshness is measured in minutes rather than weeks, and quality has to be measured on every record rather than sampled.
This is a genuine transformation, not a maintenance mandate. Work that is done by hand today should be done by systems a year from now, and done better — with quality that is measured rather than sampled, and improvements that compound instead of being re-done every day. You'll own both halves of that: a team that can build it, and a transition that holds while they do.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, grow and develop a team of engineers building automated curation pipelines for the Entity Graph
- Own delivery for your team: what gets built, in what order, and whether it actually lands
- Be accountable for the quality of the data your team's pipelines produce — coverage, freshness, precision and recall are your metrics, not just your engineers'
- Sequence the transition from manual to automated curation so quality rises rather than dips, and customers never feel the change
- Partner with Graph Quality, Data Services, Collection and product teams to make sure graph data reaches customers and agentic software as products
- Hire well and onboard fast, including early-career and youth-programme engineers, and build the mentoring structure that makes them productive
- Coach through 1:1s, feedback and career conversations; address performance issues directly and early
- Work with your senior engineers on technical direction, and keep enough technical depth to challenge a design and read a post-mortem properly
- Communicate clearly upward and outward — what's working, what isn't, and what you need
What You'll Bring:
- Around 2+ years managing software engineers, with a track record of a team shipping under your leadership
- A background as a software engineer, in data-intensive or distributed systems
- Experience running delivery for a team: planning, prioritising, and saying no to the right things
- Comfort with data-quality problems where correctness is ambiguous and has to be measured rather than assumed
- Demonstrated ability to hire, develop and retain engineers, including people earlier in their careers
- Experience leading a team through change — a re-org, a platform migration, a shift in mandate — and keeping delivery and morale intact
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to advocate technical direction to engineers, research scientists and business audiences
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education/work experience
- Strong English skills are a must
Preferred Qualifications:
- Domain knowledge of the cyber-defence data model — CVE/CVSS, CPE, SBOM, vendor and product taxonomies, asset inventories
- Experience with large-scale data infrastructure — Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Kubernetes, AWS
- Experience taking LLM- or agent-based systems into production, including how to evaluate them honestly
- Having replaced a manual operational process with an automated one and managed the human side of that change
- Experience managing a distributed team across sites or time zones
