Your Role

The Maintenance Responsible will be responsible for managing and coordinating facilities and operation maintenance activities.

As Maintenance Responsible, you will manage and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of facilities and production equipment. You will support projects from commissioning through handover, working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and HSE teams. The role will oversee preventive maintenance and technical improvements across automated production equipment and injection molding machinery. You will also contribute to equipment performance, production efficiency, and product quality. Through strong technical expertise and a continuous improvement mindset, you will help ensure safe and efficient operations and contribute to Aptiv’s manufacturing excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities for production equipment, including injection and insert molding machines, fully automatic lines, robots, and related equipment.
• Develop and implement annual and preventive maintenance plans to maintain production equipment in optimal working condition.
• Partner with Production to schedule maintenance activities while supporting equipment availability and operational continuity.
• Participate in commissioning, pre-commissioning, performance testing, technical meetings, safety audits, punch-list resolution, and equipment handover.
• Review technical designs, documentation, and supplier bids to ensure alignment with Operations, Maintenance, Asset Integrity, and HSE requirements.
• Lead maintenance safety processes and audits, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, and mobile equipment requirements.
• Coordinate contractors and external providers carrying out installations, maintenance activities, and facility projects, including renovation and remodeling.
• Develop and implement improvements to production methods and equipment performance to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong technical background across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Experience working with fully automatic production equipment, particularly stripping, crimping, assembly, and testing processes.
• Experience with fully automatic machines such as Curti, Komax, or Schleuniger, as well as experience with high-speed coax cable production/processes.
• Knowledge of injection molding machine maintenance is an advantage.
• Advanced English skills.
