The Role

Provide comprehensive support for the IMS system infrastructure, including proactive environment improvements, application of system patches, and installation of IMS-related tools to ensure stability, performance, and operational efficiency.
Install, upgrade and maintain IMS and its related tools in the production environment, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal system performance. Applied advanced SMP/E (System Modification Program/Extended) skills to efficiently manage and maintain the IMS infrastructure, including software deployment, patching, and configuration control.

* Apply innovative approaches to support environment modernization and process optimization.
* Strong focus on automation opportunities within mainframe environments to enhance efficiency and reliability.
* Demonstrate professionalism in client communication, negotiation, and solution delivery, ensuring systems are robust, resilient, and aligned with business needs.
* Mentor new employees who may join the IMS System Support Team
