Role Summary

The Lifestyle Physician provides safe, evidence-based and member-centred medical care, with a strong focus on prevention, early risk identification and the management of chronic disease through lifestyle interventions. Working with a high degree of professional autonomy, the physician will assess members, interpret clinical and diagnostic findings, exercise sound clinical judgement, develop personalised care plans and coordinate follow-up with MORROW’s multidisciplinary team.

The role combines sound conventional medical practice with the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connection. Clinical judgement, informed consent and patient safety must remain central to every recommendation. You will also adhere to full compliance with the Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore Medical Council (SMC), and Health Sciences Authority (HSA) involves meeting various professional, legal, and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centred care using lifestyle medicine principles and conduct thorough assessments that include lifestyle, behavioural, and medical risk factors 
• Interpret findings and advanced diagnostics for early detection of disease and pre-disease states 
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team (eg. nurses, dietitians, health coaches, clinical psychologist and clinical exercise physiologist) to develop and monitor individualised treatment plans focused on sustainable lifestyle changes 
• Contribute to shared medical appointments, group consultations, educational workshops and community-based wellness initiatives, where appropriate 
• Stay current with emerging research and best practices in lifestyle medicine 
• Demonstrate a genuine commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in lifestyle and longevity medicine 
• Work rostered hours, including selected evenings or weekends, where required to support clinic operations and member care.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• A recognised medical degree and eligibility for registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
• Current full registration with the Singapore Medical Council and a valid Practising Certificate are strongly preferred. Candidates requiring conditional registration will be considered only where they meet SMC requirements and MORROW can support the required approval, supervision and scope of practice.
• At least three years of post housemanship clinical experience, preferably in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, preventive medicine or chronic disease management.
• A relevant postgraduate qualification such as GDFM, MMed Family Medicine or MRCGP is advantageous.
• Board certification in Lifestyle Medicine, or a clear commitment to obtain an accepted certification within an agreed timeframe, is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience or a strong track record in preventive, lifestyle focused or longitudinal care, including the management of common chronic conditions.
• Competence in electronic medical record systems and the delivery of clinically appropriate telehealth consultations.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Advanced cardiac life support certification is advantageous.
• Strong spoken and written English. Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous, as the physician may need to explain medical findings and care plans to Mandarin speaking patients who are not proficient in English.

Clinical and Regulatory Expectations

The physician must practise within their competence and approved scope, and comply with all applicable Singapore laws, licensing conditions, MOH requirements, SMC ethical and professional standards, patient confidentiality obligations, informed consent requirements, clinical governance policies and MORROW procedures.
