Sobre este puesto de Licensed Clinical Therapist en Brightline

Brightline · Híbrido · Suffolk County, New York

About This Opening

The need for pediatric mental health care is everywhere in New York. Our question is where to start. We’re starting conversations with therapists now so we can build strong founding teams as locations are finalized.

Brightline is redefining what pediatric behavioral health care looks like for families across the country — and we’re looking for the Licensed Clinical Therapist who will bring that vision to life in New York.

Pediatric mental health needs are on the rise, and too many families still can’t access the care their kids deserve. At Brightline, we’re changing that by combining expert, evidence-based clinical care with the kind of warmth, flexibility, and family focus that actually keeps families engaged. If you are as passionate about that mission as we are, we’re looking for you.

Why This Role

The pediatric mental health crisis is real, and the families we will serve in New York are counting on us to get this right. This role puts you at the center of that work. You’ll deliver evidence-based therapy to kids and teens across some of the most complex and meaningful clinical presentations in the field, within a practice that is driven by data, accountability, and genuine care for outcomes. Brightline’s results speak to that commitment: the majority of kids and teens in our care show measurable improvement in anxiety, depression, overall functioning, and parents report significant reductions in caregiver strain.

What makes Brightline different is how we work: our clinicians practice within a multidisciplinary team alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, and care coordinators, and benefit from the peer consultation, supervision infrastructure, and professional development that isolated private practice rarely offers. Care is kept under one roof, with internal referrals meaning families don’t fall through the cracks between providers. And our approach is genuinely inclusive: clinicians are trained to provide LGBTQ+ and BIPOC families the identity-centered care they need and deserve.

Why Apply Now

  • Help build it: Join the founding team and shape the workflows, programs, and culture of a new care center.

  • Explore with no pressure: Think of the interviews as a chance to get to know each other. Neither side commits to anything until there is an offer on the table.

  • Early access: If a center opens near you, you’ll be among the first we consider, before the role goes public.

  • Timeline: By the end of the year, we’ll share which locations are moving forward and follow up with every candidate, with start dates anticipated for spring 2027.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Care

  • Provide comprehensive, ongoing therapy to youth up to age 18 across individual and group formats, delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to each patient’s presenting concerns and developmental stage

  • Develop and maintain individualized care plans with measurable treatment goals, utilizing measurement-based care best practices to track clinical progress and inform ongoing treatment decisions

  • Deliver both in-person care at a Brightline New York care center and virtual sessions, with availability during peak clinical hours

  • Provide differential diagnostic clarity as needed to support ongoing treatment planning

Collaboration & Development

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, psychologists, and care coordinators; engage in regular peer consultation and case review

  • Participate in community engagement and outreach opportunities to support Brightline’s presence in the local community

  • Engage in continuous professional development, staying current on the latest empirical advancements in pediatric behavioral health

  • Contribute to the development of clinical standards, workflows, and programming at our new New York care centers

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted LCSW, LMHC-D, or LMFT-D licensure in the State of New York

  • Completion of a qualifying National Examination (NCE, NCMHCE, AMFTRB, or ASWB)

  • Proficiency in at least one evidence-based treatment modality for pediatric presentations (e.g., CBT, DBT, PMT, or similar); training in multiple modalities strongly preferred

  • Extensive experience treating common youth presentations including anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, trauma, and related concerns across a range of ages and developmental stages

  • Ability to successfully carry and manage a full clinical caseload of patients including individual care sessions, care coordination, documentation, and collaborating with member support.

  • Demonstrated competency in measurement-based care and use of standardized assessment tools to guide treatment

  • Strong knowledge of current clinical research and a commitment to staying updated on the latest empirical advancements

  • Clear understanding of and deep commitment to ethical standards of care

  • Experience providing care both in-person and virtually

  • Experience supervising pre-licensed providers preferred

  • Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred, particularly Spanish-speaking
