Position Overview
A highly respected regional law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant – Real Estate to support a busy and sophisticated real estate practice.
This position will focus primarily on commercial real estate transactions, making prior commercial real estate legal experience a requirement. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys throughout complex real estate transactions and will be comfortable managing multiple deals, deadlines, documents, and closing requirements simultaneously.
Candidates with additional residential real estate experience are especially encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and transactional support to attorneys handling commercial real estate matters.
- Assist with purchase and sale transactions, commercial leasing, financing, acquisitions, dispositions, and closings.
- Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents, agreements, correspondence, and closing materials.
- Coordinate transaction timelines, signatures, closing documents, and outstanding items.
- Assist with title, survey, due diligence, and other real estate documentation.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical transaction files.
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, meetings, and client communications.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in transactions.
- Assist attorneys with closing preparation and post-closing documentation.
- Provide additional administrative and legal support as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Commercial real estate legal experience is required.
- Previous experience supporting attorneys within a law firm or similar legal environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions and closing processes.
- Familiarity with purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, title and survey materials, and closing documentation.
- Residential real estate experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document-management systems.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential client matters.
Must-Have
Commercial Real Estate Legal Experience
Candidates should have direct experience supporting attorneys with commercial real estate transactions. General legal administrative experience without commercial real estate exposure will not be sufficient for this position.
