Job Description:

Position Title: Business Release Management - TDM / PDM 

The job holder is placed under the authority of the Structures - Aero data Management Team in the Airframe Department in Airbus Group India Private Limited. 

Job Description: 

Technical Data Management (TDM) and Product Data Management (PDM) form the digital backbone of Airbus engineering. They enable engineering design data—along with its metadata, configuration, and release workflows—to be enriched, structured, and viewed in digital form for release to manufacturing and downstream customers.

As the Business Release Manager (BRM) – TDM / PDM, you will operate within an emerging Agile SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment. You will lead the end-to-end business deployment, change management, business acceptance testing, and early life support for TDM/PDM tools across in-service, under-development, and future aircraft programs. This role bridges the gap between Digital/IT teams, Program Management and Extended Enterprise (Suppliers).

Main Activities: 

• Release Management & Roadmap Alignment
  • Track and manage the deployment of Epics, Capabilities, and features, utilizing VersionOne as the primary system of record.
  • Partner with Solution/Product Managers and Epic Owners to define and establish release and solution roadmaps.
  • Synchronize release roadmaps (including MVP0) with Programs and MCA through Blue/Orange plan alignment.
  • Engage actively in Pre- and Post-PI planning sessions to ensure seamless continuity across release cycles.
  • Map Large Solution dependencies and conduct regular alignment sessions with release managers to harmonize deployment strategies across PI plannings.
• Deployment Execution, Governance & Enablement
  • Design robust deployment strategies and detailed execution plans covering training, communication, user documentation and methodology.
  • Steer end-to-end business rollout across external suppliers for PDM and TDM releases.
  • Supervise the development, review, and approval of user training materials.
  • Lead Go/No-Go decision gates with key stakeholders from Programs, DDMS, MCA, LS, and Procurement.
  • Ensure that TDM and PDM solutions comply with Export Control, GDPR, IP protection, Extended Enterprise (EE), and data segregation standards.

● Post-Deployment & Operational Continuity

• Direct post-deployment operational phases and Early Life Support (ELS) in coordination with the Business Operation Support (BOS) and Elbow support teams.
• Maintain, update, and present quarterly PDM/TDM Airframe M&T roadmaps to key client stakeholders.

• Financial & Business Governance
  • Lead effort estimation, budget planning, financial management, supplier coordination, and business case value realization in partnership with customers.
  • Coordinate and deliver PDM/TDM business requirements and inputs into Digital Team workstreams.

Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) Management.

● Lead and manage Business Testing of TDM/PDM solutions 

○ Define BAT strategy (Business Acceptance Test), Test Scenarios, Test cases, Test scripts, feature/capability coverage matrix, data flow diagrams and test data specifications 

○ Prepare Business Test strategy. 

○ Identify, plan and manage Business Testers (along with their budget expectations) including suppliers if relevant as agreed with Program, Project & Procurement. 

○ Prepare and Manage the Business Test Campaign. 

○ Lead Business Test Executions and Defect Management - Organize and drive daily defect drum beats.

○ Manage conclusion of Business Testing and get sign off from key stakeholders. Skills: 

● Understanding and experience with Agile methodologies. 

● Extensive knowledge and experience in one of the following engineering toolsets 

○ PDM/TDM tools (e.g. 3D Experience, Catia V5, VPM, PASS SSI, APS, DPDS, TAKSY, GILDA, SPRINT NG,VPM etc.) 

● Configuration Management principles.

● Experience working on different Project Management methodologies like 

Waterfall/Agile/DevOps preferred. 

● Knowledge of PM&T documentations, DE.PA referential (Instructions, Procedures, PSD’s etc.) preferred.

Qualification: 

B.E / M.E / M. Tech / Mechanical / Aeronautical 

Experience: 

Preferably 8-12 years of relevant experience
