Establishing and enforcing data modeling standards, governance frameworks, and best practices to improve data quality, consistency, and trust across the enterprise.

Providing subject matter expertise for integrating diverse data sources, modern platforms, and emerging technologies while ensuring scalable and future-ready solutions.

Key Deliverables

Data Modeling and Solution Design

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms and business applications.

Lead data modeling activities across multiple projects and business domains.

Ensure data models support business requirements, reporting, analytics, and operational needs.

Apply appropriate modeling methodologies such as Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault 2.0, and normalized data modeling techniques.

Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to ensure scalable and maintainable data designs.

Data Architecture Alignment

Partner with Data Architects and Solution Architects to align data models with enterprise architecture standards.

Contribute to the evolution of domain and canonical data models.

Support data modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

Assist in integrating data from multiple source systems and platforms.

Evaluate data design options and recommend best-fit solutions based on business and technical requirements.

Data Governance and Quality

Adhere to enterprise data modeling standards, naming conventions, and best practices.

Contribute to metadata management, data lineage, and data governance initiatives.

Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of data models across projects.

Support implementation of data quality controls and governance frameworks.

Ensure data models comply with relevant regulatory and privacy requirements.

Coaching and Knowledge Sharing

Mentor junior and intermediate data modelers on data modeling standards and best practices.

Conduct design reviews and provide guidance to project teams.

Share knowledge of modern data modeling techniques and industry best practices.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of modeling frameworks, templates, and processes.

Support training and onboarding activities for team members.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with business analysts, product owners, architects, engineers, and data governance teams.

Translate business requirements into scalable and business-aligned data models.

Facilitate data model reviews and design discussions with stakeholders.

Communicate complex data concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Provide recommendations on data design decisions, trade-offs, and impacts.

Skills and Qualification

Functional Skills:

• 9+ years of experience in enterprise data modeling, data architecture, data governance, and information management
• Deep expertise with:
  • Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Modeling
  • Enterprise Information Architecture
  • Data Warehouse and Lakehouse Modeling
  • Canonical and Domain Data Models
• Strong experience with Data Vault 2.0, Dimensional Modeling, Semantic Data Modeling and Master Data Management (MDM)
• Proven track record of:
  • Designing enterprise-wide data models across multiple business domains
  • Leading data architecture and data modernization initiatives
  • Establishing enterprise data standards, governance frameworks, and modeling best practices
  • Driving data architecture decisions supporting analytics, AI, and digital transformation
• Hands-on expertise with data modeling tools such as ERwin Data Modeler
• Strong experience with modern data platforms AWS and Snowflake
• Experience with:
  • Metadata Management and Data Lineage
  • Data Catalog and Governance Platforms
  • Data Quality Frameworks
  • Data Privacy and Regulatory Compliance
• Hands-on knowledge of governance tools such as Collibra
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and collaborating across business, architecture, engineering, analytics, and governance organizations.
