As the Lake Club General Manager for Gozzer Ranch Golf & Lake Club, you are responsible for the overall operation, leadership, and financial performance of the Lake Club. This role provides strategic direction and daily oversight for member experience, food and beverage operations, Lake Club facilities, staffing, budgeting, and service culture. The Lake Club General Manager serves as a visible leader within the Club, building relationships with members, developing team members, and ensuring the Gozzer Ranch experience consistently exceeds expectations while embodying Discovery Land Company's values:

Your key areas of responsibility are outlined below:

Key Area #1: Member Experience and Club Culture

• Champion the Gozzer Ranch member experience across all Lake Club operations.

• Build meaningful relationships with members and guests.

• Anticipate member needs and proactively resolve concerns.

• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the Lake Club.

• Foster an engaging, welcoming, and service-focused culture.

• Lead by example in delivering Discovery Land Company's values and service standards.

Key Area #2: Operations Management

• Partner with the Director of Food & Beverage to execute departmental strategies, achieve financial objectives, implement service initiatives, and support the overall success of Gozzer Ranch's Food & Beverage operation.

• Ensure service delivery meets established luxury hospitality standards.

• Monitor member satisfaction, service metrics, and operational efficiency.

• Coordinate closely with Culinary, Golf, Recreation, Facilities, Member Services and Security teams.

• Lead the evaluation, development, and implementation of service standards and operational improvements across all Lake Club departments, ensuring alignment with luxury hospitality best practices and the evolving expectations of members and guests.

• Oversee the cleanliness, organization, presentation, and operational readiness of all Clubhouse facilities, storage areas, service stations, and back-of-house spaces to ensure exceptional standards are consistently maintained.

• Ensure all members and guests receive a warm, professional, and personalized welcome, while fostering a service culture that emphasizes relationship-building, anticipation of needs, and memorable experiences.

• Direct and support management teams in maintaining proper staffing levels, positioning, and operational readiness throughout all service periods to ensure seamless delivery of the Lake Club operations.

• Oversee daily operational planning, including reservations, events, member activities, staffing allocations, and departmental coordination to optimize service levels, efficiency, and member satisfaction.

• Collaborate with departmental leaders to establish operational priorities, communicate daily objectives, and drive accountability for execution and results.

• Lead and facilitate daily pre-shift meetings with leadership and frontline teams to communicate operational priorities, member expectations, special events, service standards, safety topics, and key business updates, ensuring all team members are informed, prepared, and aligned for success.

Key Area #3: Daily Operations

• Oversee operational systems and technology platforms, ensuring menus, pricing, events, reservations, member communications, and service-related information remain accurate and up to date.

• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of operating supplies, equipment, furnishings, and supplies throughout the Lake Club, conducting periodic inventory and recommending replacements as necessary.

• Partner with department leaders to establish purchasing practices, inventory controls, and cost-management initiatives that support fiscal responsibility while maintaining exceptional service standards.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, service enhancements, and cost savings while supporting revenue growth and member satisfaction objectives.

• Ensure all Lake Club facilities, service areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained in a clean, organized, safe, and professional manner.

• Promote a culture of safety and accountability by ensuring compliance with all company policies, health regulations, and workplace safety standards, while supporting ongoing employee training and development.

• Assist F&B leadership as requested with any special requests relating to member service.

• Oversee the development, maintenance, printing and continuous enhancement of all food, beverage, wine, and cocktail menus, ensuring offerings align with member preferences, seasonal opportunities, operational goals, and the luxury standards of Gozzer Ranch Golf & Lake Club.

Key Area #4: Team Member Management

• Provide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for all Lake Club team members, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, operational coverage, and exceptional service execution throughout the property.

• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop team members and leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and operational excellence.

• Establish and maintain service standards through ongoing training, performance feedback, and hands-on leadership, ensuring all team members consistently uphold Discovery Land Company values and expectations.

• Mentor and develop future leaders through succession planning, cross-training opportunities, and individualized development plans.

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment that promotes engagement, accountability, teamwork, and team member retention.

• Support and integrate local employees, interns, and J-1 team members by creating meaningful learning opportunities and ensuring they feel welcomed, valued, and connected to the Lake Club team and culture.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, private clubs, luxury resorts, food & beverage, or related service industries, with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver exceptional guest and member experiences.

• Possess a strong understanding of wine, spirits, cocktails, and beverage operations, with the ability to guide menu development, train team members, enhance member experiences, and support beverage revenue growth.

• Demonstrated expertise in customer service, employee engagement, leadership development, and operational management within a high-end hospitality environment.

• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, labor management, inventory controls, and operational planning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as hospitality and club management systems.

• Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and health and safety requirements, including Idaho health and sanitation standards.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively interact with members, guests, employees, and senior leadership.

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams while fostering a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to interpret and execute verbal and written instructions, policies, procedures, and operational objectives with minimal supervision.

• Ability to analyze operational reports and financial data, perform basic business calculations, and make informed recommendations to improve performance.

• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require.

• Ability to work effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, carrying, and moving materials and equipment, with the ability to lift 50 pounds independently or with assistance as needed.
