Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Rates Execution / Junior Broker to join our growing team. The role focuses on the execution and booking of cleared interest rate swap transactions, supporting a sophisticated client base of predominantly hedge funds and asset managers.

The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of financial markets experience, strong attention to detail, and a genuine interest in global fixed income and interest rate markets. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their market knowledge and progress into a client-facing coverage role over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and manage trade flow across cleared interest rate swaps and related rates products.
• Accurately book and reconcile trades using Marketwire and other relevant trade capture systems.
• Calculate, review, and verify net present values (NPV) and economics of cleared IRS transactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of trades with a high degree of operational precision.
• Liaise with counterparties, clearing brokers, operations, and clients to resolve trade and booking queries.
• Monitor market activity and support senior brokers with execution and client servicing.
• Develop knowledge of both Developed Market (DM) and Emerging Market (EM) interest rate products and market dynamics.

Required Experience & Skills

• 2-5 years' experience in financial markets, ideally within a bank, broker, asset manager, hedge fund, or related market-facing role.
• Strong understanding of interest rate swaps, swap valuation, and clearing processes.
• Experience calculating or validating NPV/PV for cleared IRS transactions.
• Familiarity with Marketwire or similar electronic trade booking platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within a bank, hedge fund, or institutional trading environment.
• Understanding of hedge fund trading workflows, risk management, and execution requirements.
• Knowledge of global rates markets, including G10 and EM interest rates.
