Our team is bringing together leaders to the market place to help drive OneOncology’s mission and vision.

Why join us? This is an exciting time to join OneOncology. Our values-driven culture reflects our startup enthusiasm supported by industry leaders in oncology, urology, technology, and finance. We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to improve and build new processes that support the meaningful work of independent physicians and the patients they serve.

Job Description:

OneOncology's IT Projects & Integrations team delivers the technology initiatives that keep our managed practices modern, resilient, and secure - from new practice onboardings and M&A integrations to network refreshes, datacenter modernization, and infrastructure upgrades. The team executes across every OneOncology practice and partners closely with IT Operations, Service Delivery, and Security to bring projects from scope to production.

The Project Engineer II is a senior engineering role leading larger, multi-workstream projects — practice onboardings, M&A integrations, and major infrastructure refreshes. The role owns technical delivery quality and mentors junior project staff. The ideal candidate brings multi-domain engineering depth and cross-functional project leadership.

This is a full-time remote position. Candidates located in the Nashville, TN area are expected to work in a hybrid capacity from our corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Own solution architecture for medium-to-large multi-workstream projects.

  • Lead planning and execution of infrastructure project workstreams, including new practice IT integrations and onboarding, network refreshes and optimization, server and hardware installations, and telecom/ISP setup and migrations.

  • Serve as technical lead during new practice integrations — determining infrastructure readiness requirements (network, server, workstation), validating compatibility and readiness of clinical and corporate IT systems, and directing coordinated on-site and remote configuration work.

  • Drive coordination with Service Delivery, IT Operations, Security, and vendors throughout project delivery.

  • Partner with IT Project Managers to align engineering deliverables with project milestones, providing clear and timely updates on status, risks, blockers, and resource needs.

  • Conduct technical risk reviews and dependency mapping across workstreams.

  • Mentor Project Technicians and Project Engineer I on architecture, standards, and delivery discipline.

  • Represent the Projects team in practice IT strategy conversations and QBRs where applicable.

  • Contribute to standards evolution based on delivery learnings and post-project reviews.

  • Own as-built documentation quality and clean hand-offs to IT Operations and Service Delivery.

  • Partner with IT SMEs/Architects on complex or precedent-setting designs.

  • Travel frequently to practice sites in support of assigned projects.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 8 to 10 years of progressive infrastructure engineering with project delivery ownership.

  • Healthcare or MSP integration experience preferred.

  • PCNSE, Aruba ACMA, VCP, or AZ-104 strongly preferred.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% throughout the continental United States.

  • Experience with the following is a plus: Palo Alto, Aruba, VMware/vSphere, Microsoft Azure, Okta, Citrix and ServiceNow.

Essential Competencies:

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with adaptability to changing priorities.

  • Multi-domain engineering across network, virtualization, identity, and cloud.

  • Proven experience deploying and configuring infrastructure components, including network switches, servers, firewalls, and endpoint devices.

  • Proficiency with technical project planning tools and IT documentation standards.

  • Project leadership and cross-functional influence.

  • Risk and dependency management for multi-workstream initiatives.

  • Executive-facing communication skills.

  • Attendance is an essential job function.
