About the Role

Most people spend years trying to get a seat at the table where real investment decisions get made. In this role, you start there. Alpha Theory helps hedge funds and asset managers make better decisions, and our Client Experience team makes sure every client gets real, lasting value from the platform. From day one, you'll work directly with portfolio managers and analysts, learning how professional investors think, debate, and decide, and helping them do it better. With Annie, our proprietary AI answer engine, clients can now do more on their own, which shifts our work toward consultative guidance, benchmarking, best practice sharing, and long-term relationship building. We're looking for an early-career professional who is curious about markets, learns quickly, adapts easily, takes coaching well, and brings the emotional intelligence and professionalism needed to work with sophisticated investment professionals.

Requirements

What You'll Do

Client Relationships and Account Health

• Own a portfolio of client relationships, acting as their day-to-day point of contact and trusted advisor.
• Watch engagement and usage data to spot adoption risks early, and act on them before they turn into problems.
• Keep account records and client notes current so the team always has an accurate picture of each client.
• Support renewal conversations and flag expansion opportunities to senior team members.

Consultative Guidance and Best Practices

• Learn each client's investment process and how Alpha Theory and Annie fit into it.
• Help clients interpret their data and platform outputs, and connect them to better portfolio construction and position sizing decisions.
• Share benchmarking insights and best practices drawn from across our client base.
• Help prepare and deliver client reviews, working your way up to leading them.

Annie Adoption and Onboarding

• Help clients find and adopt new Annie capabilities as the product evolves.
• Run training sessions and onboarding for new users and clients.
• Become an expert on new features quickly and explain them clearly to investment professionals.

Support and Product Feedback

• Help resolve client questions, working with our Client Support Specialist and escalating to Product and Engineering when needed.
• Collect client feedback and turn it into clear, useful input for the product team.
• Take part in beta testing and new feature rollouts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or graduating by May 2027 (Finance, Economics, Math, Accounting, MIS, or related fields preferred)
• 0–3 years of professional experience; internships count
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated interest in AI, including hands-on experience using AI tools and a desire to pair your own expertise with AI to produce high-quality work at scale
• Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients

Nice to Have: client-facing experience of any kind, exposure to SQL or Python, or an internship in asset management, consulting, or financial services.
