The Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) is Oregon’s state agency dedicated to ensuring that every student has access to well-prepared, ethical, and accountable educators. Since 1965, TSPC has been the backbone of educator quality—licensing over 65,000 professionals, approving educator preparation programs, and enforcing professional standards across the state.

We’re looking for passionate, detail-oriented professionals to join our Professional Practices Unit as Investigators. In this critical role, you’ll conduct fair, thorough, and timely investigations into educator conduct, helping protect students and uphold the integrity of Oregon’s education system.

Your work will directly impact the safety of students and the trust placed in Oregon’s educators.

Key Duties:

  • Prioritize and investigate complaints related to educator conduct and student safety
  • Conduct trauma-informed interviews with educators, students, and families
  • Gather and analyze evidence, prepare clear reports, and present findings
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, DHS, and other partners
  • Maintain accurate case records and testify in hearings when needed
