osition Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory control within the warehouse and in the WMS & ERP systems. This role is responsible for problem solving inventory issues within the warehouse and ensuring that inventory levels remain accurate to support operations. They are responsible for identifying inventory control process issues and coordinating with the Inventory Control Manager to make process improvements to ensure the accuracy of inventory within all systems. This individual will be the main point of contact for warehouse operations when inventory problems arise.
This role requires cross-functional teamwork with the warehouse operations team, supply chain planning, and finance business areas to ensure overall inventory integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update inventory records in all systems
- Serve as the backup to the Inventory Lead
- Support inventory responsibilities at all Greenworks North America warehouses.
- Support Inventory manager in systematically managing inventory moves, discrepancies, and adjustments.
- Support accurate Inventory flow for kitting and reconditioning projects, to include receipt of finish goods in a timely manner.
- Audit warehouse inventory and root cause variances
- Identify warehouse process issues and support development of work instructions to improve processes
- Implement visual workspace standards to clearly define inventory vs. non-inventory items
- Coordinate with cycle count team to conduct scheduled cycle counts on a defined basis
- Support physical inventory audits on a defined cadence within company standards
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or relevant qualification
- 1-3 years’ experience in an inventory control related role
- Proven understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control processes
- Strong analytical, root cause, and problem-solving skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Access, or other related software tools.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic fast-paced, changing, and demanding work environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and influencing skills
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Working knowledge of SAP B1, Manhattan WMS, SAP EPW
- Associates Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
