Job Summary:

Responsible for monitoring fuel product levels and making adjustments as needed. Works with upper management to execute forward buys as needed. Serves as on-call support after business hours and on weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Executes procurement procedures and adjustments provided by management using FuelQuest system.
• Monitors fuel product inventory levels and adjusts accordingly based on forecasted needs.
• Reviews performance and service levels of vendor products/partners. Serves as on-call support after work hours and on weekends.
• Works with management to execute forward buys and contracts as appropriate.
• Works with third-party transportation vendors and ensures cost-saving opportunities are being utilized where applicable.
• Reviews opportunities to purchase fuel products from alternative or non-traditional sources.
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal organizations including: store operations, logistics, accounting, manufacturing, and store brands.
• Achieves service level and inventory turn objectives as expected.
• Demonstrates professional understanding of current market conditions and supplier-specific logistics or product issues. Communicates certain issues to category managers.
• Executes retail pricing adjustments using Kalibrate Fuel Pricing Solution.
• Processes Purchase Orders and/or Good Receipts in SAP.
• Provides weekly reports to upper management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Intermediate knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of buying, merchandising and retail operations.

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

• Intermediate knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.

• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form throughout all levels of the organization.

• Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy, productivity, and confidentiality. 

• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.

• Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.

• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and analyze information.

• Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

• Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.

• Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field and five or more years related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.

Physical Demands:

• Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.

• Frequently required to talk and hear.

• Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.

• Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).

• Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.

• Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs.

• Occasionally required to bend, kneel or squat.

• Occasionally required to stand or walk.

• Attendance at work is required.
