Internship - 2027 Undergraduate Marketing Intern - Transportation & Electronics Business Group (TEBG)

The role of Undergraduate Marketing Intern is intended to start in Summer 2027.

Interns work on projects that represent real challenges faced by 3M's business units and mirror the work conducted by full-time members of the department. Through networking and corporate-sponsored events, interns are exposed to many facets of 3M.

An internship is a temporary position within 3M. Interns typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 10-12 week assignment. This position is limited to working 899 hours per service credit year.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.

As an Undergraduate Marketing Intern in our Transportation & Electronics Business Group, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

· Working on meaningful projects that support real customer, market, and business challenges

· Taking advantage of training, networking, mentorship, and exposure to senior leadership

· Developing foundational skills in marketing, business analysis, project management, and communication

Each internship will differ based on the team, business priorities, market segment, and customer needs where the intern is placed. Projects could include, but are not limited to, the following focus areas:

· Customer, market, and business insights: researching customer needs, market trends, competitive dynamics, product opportunities, and business performance

· Marketing program support: supporting product marketing, vertical marketing, field marketing, go-to-market activities, messaging, customer engagement, or channel initiatives

· Marketing execution and measurement: supporting content, campaigns, events, digital activities, program execution, performance tracking, and recommendations to business stakeholders

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or higher, from an accredited institution.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Marketing, Business, Business Analytics, Communications, or a related field from an accredited institution

· Completed a minimum of sophomore year (4 semesters) by the start of the internship

· Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

· Completion of two required class in the major, minor or concentration

· Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and presentation skills

· Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to project execution

Work location:

· This role has an on-site working model, with the employees working at least four (4) days a week in the office at 3M Center, located in Maplewood, MN.

3M provides eligible interns with a housing and transportation stipend in accordance with current policy.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
