Sobre este puesto de Internal Events Manager en Newton

Newton · Híbrido · London, England, United Kingdom

Newton’s growth is strong. We are now upwards of 700 people in the UK, and during 2026 we launched offices in the US and Australia. We are now looking for an experienced Event Manager to join our growing event team.

This is a hands-on delivery role reporting to the Head of Internal Events. You will work side by side not only with the events team, but also with our internal communications and engagement colleagues too, and because events matter to us, you will also build close relationships with key people across the business, from our newest graduate joiners to our Senior Partners.

You are joining at an exciting time. UK growth and international expansion mean we are challenging ourselves to make sure our events programme delivers both employee engagement and connection, and helps our teams deliver ever greater client impact.

Our fortnightly Review Days bring people from every grade and Cluster together to tackle our toughest client challenges. Our flagship events – Strategy Day, Activity Day, Charity Day, Christmas Party and Summer Weekend – build the relationships, belonging and energy that make Newton work. Together they give our people a reason to prioritise being in the same room, and they give our clients better delivery as a result.

We are redesigning that programme for 2027 for a bigger, more international business: in-country Review Days, a global Strategy Day, a clearer governance model and events that scale by design. You will bring creativity, structure and rigour to how we scale our events and keep the employee experience consistent.

Your remit will be varied. You will own some events from first idea to post-event review, guide and support our colleagues overseas (remotely from the UK), and for our larger flagship events, form a key part of an integrated team so that every detail is thought about and delivered. You will be excited by detail and plans, confident with budgets and financial value, and creative in how you deliver memorable moments that reflect our values and expectations.

Key responsibilities:

Event delivery

  • Own the delivery of a defined set of events, from brief to post-event review, delivered across the UK, US and Australia, managing budgets, plans, milestones, risks and bottlenecks against agreed KPIs, and engaging the right stakeholders to achieve event objectives.
  • As part of a larger integrated team, hold overall accountability for elements of our flagship events, such as the Summer Weekend or Global Strategy Event so that every detail is thought about and delivered.
  • Play an active part in the smooth and consistent delivery of both Review Nights and Review Days.
  • Bring creativity to our event delivery so that every event builds on the success of the one before, creating moments and connections people remember, and always looking for new and innovative approaches that excite and engage our people.
  • Uphold high standards of delivery, ensuring a consistent, high-quality attendee experience while adapting events to local needs.
  • Guide and support colleagues in our US and Australian offices, remotely from the UK, so that events there meet the same standard as our UK programme.
  • Contribute to the redesign of our 2027 events programme, bringing structure and rigour to how our events scale.

Budgets and suppliers

  • Take ownership of event budgets, providing evidence-based forecasts and informed recommendations, confidently responding to challenge to support sound commercial decisions and identify opportunities for value and savings.
  • Manage relationships with DMCs, agencies and suppliers, planning and delivering successful events in partnership with them.
  • Negotiate event contracts, working in partnership with our legal team.

Internal stakeholders

  • Work in partnership with internal stakeholders, including the Employee Experience Working Group and our international office leads, to plan and deliver successful events.

Improvement and capability

  • Lead post-event evaluation and continuous improvement, using attendee feedback and performance data to strengthen future events, processes and tools as the programme scales.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues involved in event planning, building strength and capability within the team and with key stakeholders operating abroad.

Requirements

You are a high-calibre individual with exceptional personal drive and a real passion for creating inclusive, memorable experiences for people. You bring rigour to a fast-paced programme without losing sight of the attendee on the day. Strong communication skills, an analytical mind and a positive attitude are essential to fit into the Newton culture.

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven experience leading the delivery of large-scale events for more than 600 attendees, including multi-day or multi-location experiences.
  • Demonstrable ownership of significant project budgets, with accountability for evidence-based decisions about how spend is allocated across an event.
  • The ability to manage a complex, fast-paced programme with structure, rigour and sound judgement.
  • Strong supplier and agency management experience, including working in partnership with destination management companies: front-end briefing and proposal creation, negotiation, ongoing performance management and relationship building.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • A genuine commitment to creating inclusive, people-centred experiences.
  • Experience gained in a corporate events team, an events agency or an agency working with corporate clients.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering international events or coordinating event delivery across multiple countries.
  • Experience managing external partners, including event and brand agencies.
  • Experience using Cvent or a comparable event technology platform.
  • Examples that illustrate a willingness to learn new software and to use AI to continuously improve our processes and ways of working.

Personal attributes

  • Creative and excited by detail, with a strong sense of ownership of the attendee experience.
  • Calm, structured and resilient in a fast-paced programme.
  • Collaborative and inclusive, building trust with colleagues from new joiners to Senior Partners.
  • Flexible and agile: events are not nine to five, and you are comfortable with the pattern of work that follows.

Where and how you will work

You will be based in our London or Oxford office, and you can choose which. Our events team works across both locations, so you must be willing and able to travel to either as required for full team meetings.

We like people to be in the office one to two days a week. Working from home is possible on other days where your office and event commitments allow. You will also travel to events, site visits and meetings in the UK. International travel is not required as standard but could be required by exception.

Our core events normally start on a Thursday evening and run throughout Friday, so you must be happy to travel and be away from home at least once a month. Our Summer Weekend runs Friday to Sunday, and we expect you to be on site throughout. Events are not a nine-to-five job, so we value flexibility and agility in how you work around them.

Benefits

Newton seeks to maximise the potential of our people, whether in client-based consulting roles or in Head Office functions. You will have dedicated and consistent development opportunities to support your career progression, and you will receive regular appraisals and annual pay reviews.

We offer a highly competitive salary (£55,000 - £65,000) and our generous benefits package includes Life Assurance, Income Protection, pension contributions and 28 days holiday (not including bank holidays). We also offer a company performance bonus scheme and equity scheme, giving our people the opportunity to share in the success of the business. Company performance bonuses are typically paid in March and September each year.

Joining us also brings many social benefits. We have a full social calendar with Spring activity days, Christmas events, a 2-day Summer event and 4 Newton-sponsored weekends a year.
