Position Summary
The Integration Architect provides enterprise-level architectural leadership for Cabot’s application and data integration landscape. The role defines integration standards, designs scalable and secure solutions, and guides modernization across APIs, middleware, managed file transfer, event-driven integration, cloud platforms, business applications, manufacturing systems, and external partners.
This position collaborates with business, Digital, architecture, cybersecurity, application, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure integration solutions are reliable, reusable, supportable, and aligned with Cabot’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain Cabot’s enterprise integration architecture, standards, patterns, and technology roadmap.
- Design and oversee complex integrations across enterprise applications, cloud services, data platforms, manufacturing systems, and external partners.
- Lead the adoption and governance of APIs, event-driven integration, managed file transfer, and reusable integration services.
- Review solution designs, technology selections, and architecture exceptions for alignment with enterprise standards.
- Lead integration modernization efforts, including retirement of legacy technologies and reduction of technical debt.
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, availability, resiliency, monitoring, and supportability requirements.
- Partner with project teams throughout design, development, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.
- Collaborate with application owners, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data teams, operations, vendors, and implementation partners.
- Mentor integration developers and promote consistent engineering practices, documentation, and reuse.
- Support the continued development of Cabot’s Integration Center of Excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Typically 7 or more years of experience in enterprise integration, solution architecture, middleware, or API management.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering complex integration solutions in global or hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns, API lifecycle management, messaging, event-driven architecture, and managed file transfer.
- Experience with integration security, identity, authentication, encryption, logging, monitoring, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable, and supportable technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise resource planning, human resources, finance, manufacturing, data, and cloud platforms.
- Experience modernizing legacy integration technologies.
- Experience working with global teams, managed service providers, or an Integration Center of Excellence.
- Relevant cloud, architecture, API, or integration platform certifications.
