The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking an experienced and motivated Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to play a key role in supporting the JNT09141 COMSEC Modernisation Program and associated acquisition projects.
Reporting to the Program and Acquisition Project Managers, you will provide subject matter expertise that supports Government submissions, acquisition activities, and the successful transition of capabilities into service.
Working across both acquisition and modernisation initiatives, you will provide specialist ILS expertise, influence key project outcomes, and engage with a broad range of Defence stakeholders, industry partners, engineers, and project teams.
As the ILS Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, development, coordination, and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support activities across multiple programs. You will ensure that systems are supportable, sustainable, and ready for operational use through the development of key ILS documentation, management of ILS activities, and coordination of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and facilitation of Integrated Logistics Support Working Groups (ILSWGs).
- Develop, review, and maintain key ILS documentation, including:
- Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP)
- Integrated Logistics Support Instructions (ILSI)
- Product Support Analysis (PSA)
- COMSEC Engineering Management Instructions (CEMI)
- Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) documentation
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement across Defence, project teams, sustainment organisations, and industry partners.
- Review and assess ILS artefacts and documentation developed by internal teams and external contractors.
- Manage document endorsement processes and stakeholder approvals.
- Support the transition of capabilities into operational environments through the development of transition plans and sustainment strategies.
- Identify training requirements, develop training plans, and support capability uplift activities.
- Maintain and update ILS artefacts following system changes, testing outcomes, and capability enhancements.
- Contribute to project management, engineering management, and risk management activities.
- Provide regular reporting on ILS progress, risks, issues, and project outcomes.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
- Proven experience as an Integrated Logistics Support Manager or Senior ILS Practitioner within Defence, Government, or complex engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of Defence acquisition, capability delivery, and sustainment frameworks.
- Experience developing and managing Defence ILS documentation and artefacts.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing documentation for senior stakeholders and Government submissions.
- Experience supporting capability transition, sustainment planning, and training development activities.
- Knowledge of COMSEC, communications systems, ICT, or related Defence capabilities will be highly regarded.
