Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 5 years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of process instruction, including functional knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Expert understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
  • Expert understanding of basic computer applications.
  • Ability and willingness to use hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.), as well as measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.).
  • Ability and willingness to perform electrical test methods (ohm meter, gauss meter, surge test, hi pot, etc.).
  • Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain Solder, Braze, and Solder Certification as required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize manual or automated measurement and testing equipment to ensure quality of products.
  • Identify and document non-conforming parts while using Oracle to maintain inspection records.
  • Inspect all raw materials and purchased parts to determine conformance to design requirement.
  • Use statistical process control and statistical quality control techniques as required.
  • Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements.
  • Assist support functions in root cause analysis.
  • Develop strong understanding of GD&T and advanced measurement principles.
  • Blueprint interpretation, electrical inspection, mechanical inspection, and procedural knowledge assessment completion.
  • Have advanced understanding of special processes such as brazing, soldering, welding, coating, etc. as required within the department.
  • Use manual and automated measuring/testing equipment to ensure product quality.
  • Perform complex testing (surge test, di-electric, hipot, helium leak check, ATP, hardness testing, etc.).
  • Have advanced understanding of the operation of all inspection equipment within the department.
  • Work with limited supervision.
  • Perform manual set up, test, and troubleshooting which includes performance testing and trim grind.
  • Multi-task and work within deadlines.
  • Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
  • Provide feedback to appropriate support functions.
  • Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues.
  • Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up.
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
  • Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
  • Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
  • Participate in and support team initiatives.
  • Receive guidance from experienced employees.
  • Understand and abides by the GE behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • 5-10 years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical components, test methods (ohm meter, surge test, hipot, etc.), assembly techniques, geometric dimensions/tolerances, and inspection in various areas.
  • Knowledge of quality system requirements (AS9100).
  • Intermediate understanding of special process operations (Brazing, soldering, welding, coating, etc.).
  • Intermediate knowledge in receiving, electrical, or mechanical inspection.
  • Prior assembly, solder, and/or electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Prior experience in a self-directed teaming environment.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
  • Transparent: shares critical thinking information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively.
  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed.

  • Able to use Microsoft applications to analyze data (i.e. – Word, Excel, Oracle, etc.)

Physical Demands:

  • Continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
  • Continuously sit.
  • Occasionally bend, stop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
  • Occasionally lift up to 20lbs and push/pull up to 22lbs.

This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

The pay for this position is $30.50/hr. plus 10% for the shift difference. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close 10/31/26.
