About the Role
As Strategic Projects & Analytics Lead, you’ll lead high-priority strategic projects and analytical work that help Tesco Media make better decisions, accelerate growth and evolve its operating model.
Working closely with the Strategy Director, leadership team and cross-functional partners, you’ll turn complex business questions into clear insights, practical recommendations and executable plans. You’ll combine structured problem-solving, commercial analysis and programme leadership to take initiatives from discovery through to implementation, across areas including growth, productivity, AI and automation, proposition development and operating-model evolution.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll bring together strategic thinking, analysis and hands-on delivery, helping turn Tesco Media’s priorities into measurable action.
- Lead strategic projects end to end, from defining the problem and scope through analysis, recommendations, mobilisation and handover.
- Shape and prioritise a portfolio of initiatives, establishing clear objectives, milestones, dependencies and decision points while assessing strategic fit, commercial value, feasibility and risk.
- Turn evidence into decisions, using market and problem sizing, financial and commercial analysis, scenario modelling, trend analysis and performance diagnostics to tackle complex questions.
- Create leadership-ready recommendations, synthesising quantitative and qualitative evidence into compelling strategic choices, presentations and practical plans.
- Measure and embed value, defining KPIs and benefits-realisation frameworks, tracking outcomes and creating reusable analytical tools and approaches that can scale across the business.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be someone who enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity and is equally comfortable getting into the analysis and influencing senior stakeholders around what should happen next.
- Experience delivering strategy, transformation, analytics or consulting projects from initial diagnosis through to recommendation and implementation.
- Strong commercial and analytical judgement, including business cases, financial analysis, market sizing and scenario modelling, with the confidence to make evidence-based judgements when data is imperfect.
- Proven project and portfolio management, balancing multiple priorities, workstreams, dependencies and stakeholders in a complex cross-functional environment.
- Clear, concise storytelling and communication, translating complex analysis into impactful outputs and recommendations for senior audiences.
- Confident stakeholder management and influencing, building trusted relationships across different functions and levels of seniority while maintaining momentum in a fast-moving environment.
You’ll Thrive If You…
- Enjoy solving complex, loosely defined business problems and creating clarity from ambiguity.
- Combine strategic thinking with the practical discipline required to get initiatives implemented.
- Have an interest in retail media, digital advertising, retail or technology and the trends reshaping these industries.
- Bring knowledge of AI, generative AI, automation, digital transformation, operating-model change or responsible AI principles.
