POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for developing profitable relationships with both new and returning customers within our builder, designer, remodeling and retail communities. Will also work showroom hours including Saturdays. A comp day will be provided for Saturday hours.
Essential Functions
- Provide expert consultations to take projects through design, material selection and installation.
- Build proposals and quotes based on qualifying the needs of the customer and fulfilling those needs.
- Execute the customer’s order and provide support as needed to assist through successful completion.
- Interact with industry professionals to cultivate relationships for referrals and develop a self-sustaining network of clients.
- Stay abreast of industry and local trends and leverage vendor product and sales training when offered.
- Manage collection of payments for sales.
Competencies/Skills/Abilities
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Positive attitude with strong organizational skills and effective team player required
- Ability to be detail-oriented and multi-task and work within specified timeframes
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required
- Previous showroom sales experience is required and work experience in our industry is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel and Word
