ABOUT THE POSITION
Infrastructure Engineer at BURGA is more than just a title - it’s a front-row seat to the evolution of a brand that’s taking the world by storm. You'll be at the heart of an extremely versatile and fast-paced environment, where new collections, campaigns, and product launches will keep you sharp and excited.
Your Role: build, operate, improve, and secure a reliable infrastructure platform that can keep up with BURGA’s growth. You’ll work closely with our IT, Data, and MES teams, taking ownership of complex infrastructure challenges and driving projects that will shape our technical environment in 2026 and beyond.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own and operate our 3-node Proxmox virtualization cluster, including VM provisioning, patching, capacity planning, storage, and backups.
- Administer and evolve our production Kubernetes platform, running on Talos Linux with Cilium CNI/eBPF and supporting critical MES and Data Platform workloads.
- Own our GitOps delivery model using ArgoCD, Helm, Azure DevOps repositories, and Azure Container Registry.
- Maintain and evolve key platform components including cert-manager, Traefik, External Secrets Operator, HashiCorp Vault, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and Valkey.
- Own our network and security infrastructure, including FortiGate firewalls, routing, VLANs, TLS termination, nginx, and Kubernetes ingress.
- Lead the monitoring and observability stack across Proxmox and Kubernetes using Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, and Alertmanager.
- Own backup and disaster-recovery processes using Proxmox Backup Server, Velero, and pgBackRest, including regular restore testing.
- Lead the migration of approximately 16 Docker Compose services from VMs to the production Kubernetes cluster.
- Manage the secrets lifecycle across Vault, External Secrets Operator, and Google Cloud Secret Manager.
- Act as the escalation point for infrastructure incidents, driving root-cause analysis, postmortems, and runbook documentation.
- Partner with the Data and MES teams on capacity planning, network architecture, and infrastructure requirements.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Solid hands-on Linux administration experience in a production environment.
- Production experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes. Experience with Talos Linux or another immutable OS is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience with Proxmox, VMware, or a similar virtualization platform, including VM lifecycle management and SAN/ZFS/iSCSI/NFS-backed storage.
- Experience with GitOps and CD tooling, such as ArgoCD, Flux, or similar, plus Helm chart management.
- Practical experience with enterprise networking and firewalls, including VLANs, routing, TLS termination, ingress, and reverse proxies.
- Experience operating a monitoring and observability stack, such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Ability to automate and build tooling using Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Comfortable taking ownership of on-call and production incident response.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to improving reliability and security.
SALARY: 4600 - 5000 EUR/Month GROSS. We’re open to discussing it based on your skills and competencies.
