Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Industry Relations, the Industry and Employer Relations Coordinator supports a transformational career services team empowering artists to realize their creative potential. This role combines employer engagement, job/internship board management, talent tracking, and full-service event planning for signature programs like Career Jam and the Job and Internship Expo. At Berklee, your work directly supports the next generation of creative leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Employer Engagement & Talent Relations:

• Partner Relations: Nurture affiliations with employers, alumni, and industry partners to expand job, gig, internship, and fellowship opportunities.
• Job Board Management: Oversee employer accounts, job postings, event registrations, and RSVPs on the Berklee Career Manager platform.
• Talent Tracking & Pitching: Maintain talent databases, track student outcomes, prepare customized talent pitch decks, and coordinate with Talent Relations Ambassadors.

Event Planning & Program Logistics:

• Signature Events: Drive event planning, travel bookings, promotional materials, and logistics for major programs including Career Jam, All Access, the Job and Internship Expo, showcases, and auditions.
• Recruitment Operations: Schedule and execute employer info sessions, mentoring sessions, masterclasses, workshops, visiting artist visits, and industry trips.

Internship Advising & Student Support:

• Internship Advising: Serve as an advisor for an assigned course load of internship students each semester to foster career-ready experiential learning.
• Career Guidance: Provide 1:1 student advising on networking, job search strategies, resume/interview prep, and salary negotiation, alongside classroom presentations.

What You'll Bring

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) plus 1–2 years of experience in event planning and customer service. Experience in career services, recruiting, or the entertainment industry is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Canva, and social media platforms. Experience with CRM/job board databases is helpful.
• Industry Alignment: Knowledge or interest in music business, performing arts, musical theater, dance, and music technology.
• Core Attributes: Exceptional written communication, strong organizational skills, and high cultural competency in supporting diverse student populations.
• Schedule & Supervision: Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events, with capacity to supervise student employees.

Hiring Range: $49,000 to $66,000; salary dependent on experience and education.
