The IND Portfolio Analyst will support the investment team in managing Hartford Fire Insurance Company's investment portfolios, focusing on data analysis, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to optimize returns and manage risk.

Job Responsibilities**

* Conduct in-depth analysis of investment portfolios, including performance attribution, risk assessment, and asset allocation.
* Prepare regular and ad-hoc performance reports for internal stakeholders and senior management.
* Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes relevant to investment strategies.
* Assist in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities and provide recommendations based on thorough research and analysis.
* Support the development and maintenance of financial models for portfolio forecasting and scenario analysis.
* Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and other internal departments to ensure effective portfolio management.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date investment data, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
* Participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at improving investment processes and strategies.
* Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to various audiences.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
* 1-3 years of experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, or a related financial role, preferably within the insurance industry.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet).
* Solid understanding of investment concepts, financial markets, and various asset classes (e.g., fixed income, equities, alternatives).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
* Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
* Progress towards or completion of CFA designation is a significant plus.
* Knowledge of insurance company investment regulations and accounting principles (e.g., STAT, GAAP) is desirable.
