In capital markets accounting advisory services at PwC, you will focus on providing strategic guidance on a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, transaction structures and capital markets topics. The Assurance group can also help organizations report externally on non-financial information, strengthen its corporate governance procedures, and achieve social and economic goals related to corporate sustainability. Financial audits provide an independent opinion on a company's financial report and are a critical element in the capital markets system.

Capital Market and Accounting Advisory Services is a dedicated global team of professionals that provides high-value advisory services under IFRS, Indian GAAP and Ind AS along with capital markets services.  

  Responsibilities:  

  

Roles & Responsibilities (essential functions and responsibilities of the job):  

  

• We are looking for an FP&A and data analytics professional with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, profitability analysis, management reporting, KPI dashboards and decision-support analytics. The role requires strong business partnering, data interpretation and storytelling capability in a GCC / shared services environment. 
•  Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasting and periodic planning cycles. 
• Prepare management reporting packs covering revenue, cost, margin, profitability, working capital and operating KPIs. 
• Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, prior period and business targets. 
• Build and maintain KPI dashboards, trend reports and executive-level performance summaries. 
• Support profitability analysis by product, customer, geography, business unit or cost centre. 
• Work with business teams to understand performance drivers and translate data into actionable insights. 
• Prepare financial models, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis and decision-support schedules. 
• Support data extraction, cleansing, reconciliation and validation from ERP, planning and reporting systems. 
• Identify reporting process improvement and automation opportunities. 
• Prepare commentary for monthly performance reviews and leadership reporting. 
• Coordinate with controllership, business finance, commercial and operations stakeholders for inputs and validation. 
• Maintain reporting calendars, data refresh trackers and management reporting controls. 

 

 

 

Mandatory skill sets:  

  

•  Strong understanding of FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting. 

•  Ability to interpret financial and operating data and convert it into clear business commentary. 

•  Advanced Excel and data modelling capability; Power BI / Tableau / analytics tool exposure preferred. 

•  Understanding of revenue, cost, margin, profitability, working capital and KPI reporting. 

•  Good business partnering and stakeholder management skills. 

•  Ability to build structured dashboards and concise leadership reporting packs. 

•  Exposure to planning tools such as Anaplan, Oracle PBCS, SAP BPC or similar will be preferred.  

Preferred skill sets:  

  

•  Hands-on experience in the relevant domain, with demonstrable involvement in delivery, implementation, transition, governance or operational ownership. 

•  Ability to work directly with client / GCC business teams, understand process issues and convert them into practical actions. 

•  Strong analytical ability, documentation discipline and attention to detail. 

•  Good communication skills and ability to coordinate across business, finance, technology, vendor and leadership stakeholders. 

•  Execution-oriented mindset with willingness to work hands-on during implementation, transition, stabilisation or operational phases. 

•  Comfortable operating in a GCC / shared services / transformation environment with multiple stakeholders and tight delivery timelines.

Years of experience required:  

  

•   2–10 years of hands-on treasury operations, cash management or liquidity management experience  

Education qualification:  

  

•  Chartered Accountant, MBA Finance, B.Com / M.Com, ACCA, CPA, CFA, B.Tech, MCA or equivalent qualification, depending on the role. 

•  Candidates with domain-specific certification, transformation exposure or tool implementation experience will be preferred. 

•  Candidates with a business process background and strong systems / data orientation may also be considered.
