Job Description & Summary: We are looking for an experienced Agentic AI + Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and intelligent AI-driven solutions. 

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in Java and backend engineering, combined with practical experience in Generative AI and Agentic AI architectures. The role involves building robust APIs and services, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), developing AI agents and orchestration workflows, and designing reliable production-grade systems. 

You will collaborate closely with engineering managers, product managers, software engineers, data engineers, and AI/ML teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

• 4 years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong backend development expertise. 

• Strong hands-on programming experience in Java. 

• Strong understanding of Core Java, REST APIs, microservices, object-oriented programming, data structures, and design patterns. 

• Proven experience in System Design and Software Architecture. 

• Hands-on exposure to Generative AI / LLM-based application development. 

• Experience developing or integrating Agentic AI / AI-agent-based solutions. 

• Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, function/tool calling, RAG, embeddings, and vector-based retrieval. 

• Strong knowledge of API development and integration with external/internal services. 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. 

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. 

Mandatory skill sets:

• Oracle Agentic Studio or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) familiarity 

• Pega Platform integration experience (decision strategies, case management APIs) 

• ServiceNow Now Platform integration (Virtual Agent, Flow Designer, REST APIs) 

• Multi-modal AI capabilities: document image classification, form extraction (Azure Form Recognizer) 

• Experience with UiPath RPA and willingness to guide transition to Agentic frameworks 

• Azure certifications: AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert), AZ-304, AI-102 (Azure AI Engineer Associate) 

• Healthcare GCC or BPO delivery experience 

Preferred skill sets:

• Oracle Agentic Studio or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) familiarity

• 4–5 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure platform (architecture and production deployments) 

• 4 years of production-level Python development 

• 3+ years hands-on experience with Azure AI services and LLM/Agentic AI integrations

Education qualification:

• 5–8 years of proven Azure cloud engineering with advanced architectural skills 

• Strong production-level Python: FastAPI, async patterns, enterprise-grade APIs 

• 3+ years hands-on with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Agentic AI delivery 

• Ability to build and evaluate full RAG pipelines and multi-agent systems end-to-end 

• Cross-platform thinking: comfortable integrating agents across Oracle, Azure, Pega, and ServiceNow 

• Healthcare domain curiosity — you don't need deep clinical knowledge, but you must care about patient and operational impact 

• Leader mindset: can independently guide architectural decisions, mentor cross-skilling engineers, and drive delivery excellence
